Well sure but why should we at this point? Post EG I'm sure I would have been there opening night on the logo alone.

But post WV/FATWS/Loki with a lame cast, lame trailers, lame premise and crappy wokeness hell no.

Because you of all people should know that you might end up enjoying a movie that most around here don't. You know ... even though they haven't seen it.
Or you could hate it. :lol

IDK, you could have watched the whole thing and formed your own opinions in the amount of time you guys have spent quizzing Matticus and digesting his views. :lol You might even interpret a few things in the movie somewhat differently than he did.

Of course I know that. :) But I also know that I'm immensely enjoying laughing at this movie *without* having yet seen it so I'm good either way, lol.

I don't know, that's kind of like saying "Go ahead, follow the sheep off the cliff and form your own opinion of the fall. You could like it."

Or is he? :D

OK, this is not in any way directed at The Buffinator.... but I'm old, what can I say. Contrary to current belief, you do learn things over time, there's truth in stereotypes, and people can exist based on educated assumptions -- called learning -- you don't have to torture yourself to "form your own opinion".

Going to a bad movie again and again and hoping for it to be good is the definition of insanity, isn't it?

I've gotten pretty good at smelling a bad movie miles away now, as have many here. Sure, Eternals may not be "as bad" as many of us are making it out to be. But its fun to shame. Truthfully, it is, that's why so many people do it. So don't shame me for liking to shame you.

:)

Well, you have to actually go to the movie the first time and determine it's bad, then if you repeatedly go to see it hoping for it to improve then yes, that's insane. This movie is very different than any previous MCU flick, but that doesn't make it bad. And yes there's the roll-your-eyes moment when Phastos kisses his husband, but if one looks beyond that scene there's a subtlety to the story and the Celestial/Deviant/Eternal dynamic that IMO would generate some interesting discussions here if a few more people actually went to see it.

Well, someone here -- I won't mentioned names -- did that 4 times with this movie and said it wasn't very good.

Anyway, enough of the Infernals. I've moved on to bashing SpiderMan: No Way It Works.

That's not true at all. I said I wouldn't put it at the top of my MCU rankings. It doesn't crack my top ten, but also doesn't settle in my bottom five. Seeing that I really enjoy every movie in the MCU, this means that I think this is really good as well. And, it got better (for me) with additional viewings. I'll admit the film is pretty dense, and there's a fair chance you'll miss certain things about it the first time you see it.

Somebody enjoyed Captain Marvel? I wanted my money back after seeing it in the theater. I have watched every MCU Infinity Saga movie at least twice with that as an exception. I can't put myself through all the boredom again.

I haven't tried to sort through the worst of the 24 MCU movies (24 right?)... but Captain Marvel is among the worst. As is Ant and Wasp. Personally, I did not like Civil War. GOTG2 also not too good. Black Panther, overrated. Ragnarok, silly. I need a list of all MCU to work from, I know I'm missing some.
