It’s too bad they are out of magic flowers. Maybe they will discover gummiberries in pt 2. Disney owns all the best trees.

Scanning Black Panther's wikipedia page it seems that originally in the comics (1960's) he did indeed drink from a sacred native flower which was part of a ritual that linked him to the Panther god but that no vibranium was involved. A vibranium meteor did indeed hit Wakanda but it just provided chunks of the nearly indestructible metal, not the weird magic minerals from the movie that can literally do anything. He sold off a portion of his vibranium stash in order to become a multi-billionaire and then used the cash to purchase the super technology for his homeland.

Looks like it wasn't until Black Panther Volume 3 (the early 2000's I'm guessing?) that comic writers upgraded the capabilities of vibranium to allow it to be woven into fabric and so forth.

So why did Shuri build a Golden Leopard suit if their protector is the Black Panther, and why didn't she take the GL necklace along with the BL necklace knowing that Killmonger will go to her lab and look at all the technology and find the indestructible suit?!
So many dumb plot holes and stupid critics praising this movie like it's the second coming of Christ.

Wakandans. Nothing without their special rock. And without special catnip, their king is easily beaten.
Hell, even with it, there's a massive wealth divide, almost no middle class, substandard health care (Bucky was recovering in a hut), a King that would rather be off personally handing foreign military missions than rule, no democracy, militant nationalism, and given how fast their country descended into civil war at the end of the film, little mandate in their king's constitutional right to govern.

I actually did find it pretty surprising that a society that had known nothing but peace for thousands of years was willing to engage in full civil war to the death at the drop of a hat. It seems like a much bigger deal should have been made about that, with people on the "good" side looking on in horror at the realization that a discontent aggressive side was willing to take up arms against them. Instead both sides just started killing each other as if it was what they did on any given Tuesday and then when it was over they all immediately went about their usual business.

I’m sure vibranium build-up in the bloodstream has adverse effects on the population’s mental health. Fortunately the cure for vibranium poisoning is vibranium.

Neither do the last seven MCU films. :dunno

No other MCU has these many problems.
Im no MCU apologist, but this movie has plot holes big enough to drive a truck through

Cant think of any other MCU movie as troubled as this.

Why did killmonger need Gollum to entet wakanda? His necklace, tattoo and lineage guarantee him entry.

If they were afraid of outsiders or white people learning their secrets, why did they take bilbo with them, why let him see their technology.
Why even talk to the colonizer?

Why didnt killmonger challenge the older king before civil war?

Killmonger used Klaue to curry favor ... which worked with the border tribe since their leader was mad T’Challa couldn’t bring Klaue to justice. That Wakabi to fight by Killmonger’s side at the end.

Okoye the general definitely didn’t want them to bring Ross to Wakanda to help him after he was shot ... but he saved Nakia’s life which is why she was so adamant that they help him - and T’Challa has a thing for Nakia ha - it was established pretty early in the movie that Nakia is about outreach and helping other countries in need.
