Ohhhh I see.

Well the whole black movement thing kinda big with this movie you know.

Do you know that BP is set to be the only 3rd MCU movie to be #1 on its 3rd weekend!

This ****er is going to hit 500 million domestically wtf lol

Only 44% drop 1st weekend!

Completely butt ****ed the jl. The most iconic characters of all time are getting there ***** handed to them by b list characters

This thread's been showing its true [White] color since last week.

BP shows woman and African Americans in positive roles. Something that has been deeply lacking in Hollywood. the action is meh, the story is meh, but the depictions are inspirational.

You hit the nail on the head. It’s a cool concept with great intentions but the movie is super Meh. They did a good job by making people feel like they were obligated to see this movie. I’ve never seen such calculated “promotion”.

I’d rather watch Blade any day of the week. Bring that dude back in the Deadpool universe. Not nearly the same message but a great character that’s sorely missed. I’m saying bring SNIPES back in the role!

Tbh I love black panther and I liked the movie it was great but the action was lacking and I really want blade back also. You want to talk about someone who revolutionized the genre and was a black hero look no further.

I hate when people acted like blade didn’t matter. If a blade movie came out today it’d make bank to

O well look who it is. But hey like I said the movie isn’t perfect but it’s not that deep

What I didn’t disappear don’t you buy toys lol

I’m a huge Blade fan so much so that I even tolerate Blade 3 BUT...

The cultural representation significance is much much much much larger in scope in BP then some low budget vampire movie.

I’m telling you had the action delivered in this movie, as it should have but it didn’t, I would’ve easily forgiven all of the vibranium can do everything and monarch wakanda plot holes so prevalent in this movie.

Russo action > Coogler action

How can a hip young black director NOT understand cool action yet some dorky pale skin brothers from Cleveland deliver top in class superhero hand to hand battles.

Coogler needs to turn in his hip card

Next

Bring on IW.

Hold on i’m busy driving my truck thru the plot holes in this movie.

Now what i’m about to write might sound like I hated this movie but I did not.

But let me say this.

Black Panther is a character that screams “great action” yet the action in this movie was very poorly handled.

It was the opposite of TWS/CW. It was how NOT to do shaky cam.

Too quick, too much shady cgi and no use of BP claws.

He was so much more bad *** in CW!

The plot holes involving the monarch structure, Wakanda and that ******* vibranium are just too numerous to mention.

They wanted a political movie now they got to deal with my truck driving thru their plot holes lol.

Did I mention how poorly handled the action set pieces were in this.

WTF was up with that instant civil war lol

Now like I said I didn’t walk out hating it but the action failed at being awesome.

Hold on i’m making the perfect cup of vibranium coffee.

Civil Bore better than BP...

Just kidding, I'm glad you're back in the movies section even if you are talking blasphemy. :lol

Even Gareth Edwards understands better action than Coogler.

RO Vader set piece > Any action from BP

Tell you what Blade 1/2 destroys BP when it comes to bad *** action.

Oh well at least BP had better action than Doctor Strange lol.

But look at my bad *** BP sig so i’m all good lol

Ummmm yup

I mean how do you NOT have an epic claw tug of war showdown between BP and KM at the climax HOW!

I even know you need a claw power struggle!

It’s freaking BP for christ oh mighty!

But no we get a fast and messy cgi blur fest instead between the 2.

Lion King cartoon had the sense to give us that slow mo claw battle.

Why wouldn’t you it’s their primary weapon!

I really thought that when BP went over the waterfall he would wash up at the feet of a meerkat and warthog.

Forest Whittaker was a good Rafiki, though.

Oh well. Hakuna matata.

Not even a scene showing a close up of KM claws slowly extending out killing someone.

They really had no idea how to best utilize the characters inherent abilities.

No we get swords, lame...hello Coogler this isn’t Conan the Barbarian.

I liked his suit unleashing energy though so i’m not all vinegar.
