Just sayin' the Ragnarok BR has the BP trailer and the "black on black" complaints of the night fight scene looked pretty good IMO at least on my set up.
Maybe the home release will look better.

Re my Chinese friend - he hasn't seen BP but I showed him some of the articles and the linked Chinese reviewer site in the Quartz article. Told him I was baffled by the contradictions of China seeming to love American superhero movies but then you hear other stuff.

It was a long conversation but the short version is - and he said this - that Americans etc. reading stuff put out by Chinese media and/or Chinese posts is not like U.S. where you just sound off. Govt. watches EVERYTHING, always. Situation is very "political" and also sounds like some vague propaganda is put out that is negative to U.S. That politics and situation in China is very, very complex and people who live outside China wouldn't understand the situation.

I laughed when he told me apparently Chinese govt. officials made a movie of themselves. I asked was it a "full movie". Apparently it is - some sort of documentary - which you are "encouraged" to see. Basically you are told how nice it is in China, but any Chinese review site was blocked from commenting at all.

But, he says, right now, there is a lot more money in China. People can buy cars etc.

A lot of details but he said there are even people paid to make posts by the govt. - sort of like fake Amazon reviews. So, basically, unless you are from there, it's hard to really say what a Chinese fan really thinks of the MCU, if they are actually racist, or anything like that. Because the govt. controls and watches and filters. And Hollywood goes along with the filtering because of the money that can be made.

It just surpassed TFA that is just flat out insane.

The Top 10 grossing films is just not what it use to be. I use to like most of the films on the all time list.. Now with inflated ticket prices it seems like anything can make it. I only really like three of the films on this list.
