I haven't talked to anyone that I know here that went to see it. No one cared to. I want to, but I doubt I get there.

Yeah I agree.. But I won't even give Whiplash credit in that film.. His character got ruined by the awful script.

For me Whiplash fits into the category of characters who are relatively one-dimensional but still cool visually and have entertaining enough performances from their respective actors to put them in the middle of the road (same can be said for characters like Red Skull, Hela, and Iron Monger). It was neat how he had all of those tattoos and the bird by his side, but both of his big fights with Iron Man were underwhelming.

Can;t agree with you at all about CW. Its a freaking masterpiece compared to AOU.

How you can take Dr. Strange over CW.. AOU yeah but CW?? Nope I don;t get it

I've said it before but there's just too much going on in CW for my taste. I thought that film was just OK when I first saw it, overall a 6.5/10, but then it dropped down to a 5/10 on a second viewing. It was everything that a good crossover movie like A1 wasn't despite some cool scenes with Black Panther. Not to mention they gave Zemo a believable arc but then soiled his character by giving him a plan that relied mostly on small events beyond his control conveniently working out in his favor.

While I find Doctor Strange very dull and mediocre, I'll take the pretty magic visuals over the shaky camera work and Giant-Man playing with the other Avengers like action figures in CW.

Had to drive an hour out of my way to see it again. The theatre was full and predominantly white crowd. Maybe they were curious out all of the hype. I agree that Boseman panther was better in CW but CW was a pure comic book movie while BP was more of a cultural statement.

I like the direction they took with this film. It's hard for me to critique is much. I hope the magic carries over into the sequel. Such a great cast. Such great chemistry.

Wow, the furthest I've ever driven to see a movie was around 45 minutes to see the extended versions of LotRs on the big screen. And that's about the only movie I would ever do that with, let alone for a second time.

Nope. People enjoy the movie. There’s been plenty of black movies before this one and they never touched these types of numbers
