Regarding First Avenger the Star Spangled Man scene alone makes it worthy of inclusion.

There are some really cool scenes in that movie I love his costume, his foot chase after the Thorin Oakenshield actor, the start of Bucky, the train wire, Cap on cool motorcycle, Red Skull, Cap flying that small propeller plane chopping up that hydra soldier, Peggy, Red Skull end battle.

Hell I think it puts BP action to shame really.

Yeah the movie has pacing problems but so does TDK and most grand parents lol

While i’m thrilled for the socialcultural success from BP I just wish it had eminated from a better movie. The success and celebration is great but the movie for me doesn’t equal the response. Thomas you deserved a better movie.

Eh, if ROTJ gets a pass when discussing the OT then I see no problem in allowing The First Avenger to make the cut. It had a great cast, one of the MCU's only noteworthy scores, the awesome Star-Spangled Man montage, and a great finale on Skull's plane.

Jedi gets a pass from me because it had a great death star battle and a good final duel between Father and Son... The end of a film can sometimes make a film.. For me Cap 1 just failed at the end.

I am not letting you and Khev fool me again.. I gave this another spin on Blu ray a year or so ago after not watching it since the theaters.. It just does not do much for me. I love when he first becomes Cap and chases the car. It has some small moments but the end turns into Sky Captain type effects and I really don't remember the final fight on the plane...

Now I am not saying its bad. Its just perfectly average. In the same league as BP IMO.

As for first time viewing.. TDK was perfectly paced.. It is a bit long in the tooth now.
