Probably the best part of BP is this from the teaser trailer:

Outside of this scene, it's an easy miss [pun intended].

I will stand and laugh out loud if Marvel actually includes a scene where Panther missing his jump like that.

What is so 'great' about it?

Might be some leakage tonight tho hard to say if critics (for what they are worth; depends) will give honest opinions or just be so overwhelmed with the DIVERSITY of it all:monkey3; and/or if media is even invited and/or if there is a review embargo and for how long:dunno

So we can watch all the shots of actors & directors standing around fake smiling (while the unwashed masses who are dying for a bathroom squeal over seein' David Hasselhoff!)

For some reason every Marvel director either wanted to be there or was ordered to show up - dunno - guess it's to show solidarity or something. Or maybe the after party food is really good.

Also scheduled to appear are Marvel Studios' stable of directors, including Joe and Anthony Russo (Avengers: Infinity War), James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy), Peyton Reed (Ant-Man and the Wasp), Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), Joss Whedon (The Avengers), Jon Watts (Spider-Man: Homecoming), and Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Captain Marvel).

Hope Whedon doesn't start cryin' or something (but I should get off his back 'coz just re-watched the Avengers and IMO he did good:clap. And Ultron does have some good stuff like Wanda and Pietro and Vision). Any comments that directors or actors make after seeing the movie I already blow off, since none of them will say what they really think.:devil

Least in my area out of six theaters, you can still get tickets to the BP fan event - decent seats, too, depending - but IMO Marvel's fan events are SO cheap w. the swag:(. (I'm doing IW fan event tho.) BP tracking at over 100 million over 4 days https://deadline.com/2018/01/black-panther-projected-to-open-to-120m-150m-over-four-days-1202269373/

They aren't even doing the fan event anywhere near me. 50 miles away is the closest. If I do get to see it, I'll go on $5 Tuesdays.

IMO you are not missing anything unless you really, really want to see this film. Prices 'round here are 25-30$ ticket and you get a poster, drink, medium popcorn. LOL I think some folks will groan but I think TLJ was the only fan event I've been to that was sold out.

I wanna wait anyway for more reviews that aren't IMO glassy eyed hype or just hate. E.g. at least try to be accurate re pros and cons.

I'll be out of town for Valentines the week it comes out, so I'll probably wait until $5 Tuesday unless I am super inclined to see it Sunday night I get home :lol

You just KNOW this movie will get 100% RT score. No one will criticize it out of fear for their safety. I'm going to watch it but figure it won't be a top 3 MCU addition.

Having Low expectations is better then High expectations eh.
