Umm.. That action sequence was on par with Netflix Marvel. Not impressed yet.
Netflix Dare Devil and Punisher have some of the best fight scenes tho.

Some of the reviews praising this are completely embarrassing.
there's no way this movie is going to fail. I wouldn't be surprised if it surpassed most of the Marvel openings save Avengers or something.

They really want people to see this, the marketing is insane. I’m sure Disney was afraid because Panther wasn’t an elite recognized superhero to non comic fans that it could lose a big part of the audience. This way whether a person likes BP or even knows about him, they will remember the film
This could either work like it did for GOTG or fail
Yeah, i choked on the one about Michael Jordan causing the reviewer to weep. Just not seeing that happen. Some of the reviews praising this are completely embarrassing.
Pathetic human beings are pathetic. What is it with these reviewers? Same thing about folks in China cryin' at JL footage.
You just KNOW this movie will get 100% RT score. No one will criticize it out of fear for their safety. I'm going to watch it but figure it won't be a top 3 MCU addition.
One guy will give it negative review:
Funniest tweet was posted on Channel 5 morning news and started by calling this wonderful "gay parade"... I guess because of the vibrant costumes.

That is SO been there, done that and by Boseman himself, yet. Not that I disrespect Boseman 'coz all these actors have had roles they don't talk about. At least they were gettin' paid.
Guess no-one brings up the "vibrant" Gods of Egypt either out of politeness or because it's just so bad it's not even a guilty pleasure. Man I wish I had editing software. I could stick Tony Stark in there b******* about Bucky and "your father dropped his guard" etc.
are we sure it's not because that movie was bad?
Black Panther is the greatest movie of all time, according to scores of fans who haven’t seen the film in theaters yet. For the past year, anticipation has been nothing short of breathless, with diehards re-tweeting every morsel of information about Marvel’s first black superhero film. Now, at long last, social reactions are out from the lucky few who have actually laid eyes on the movie—and, as expected, they loved every second of it.
These early responses range from highly complimentary to completely astounded, indicating that Marvel’s got a monster hit on its hands. Their reactions should be taken with a smidge of salt, since early screenings of films like these are aimed at friendly crowds predisposed to effusive love—and the majority of critics haven’t seen the movie yet. Still, it wouldn’t be surprising if the hype holds up, either. This wouldn’t be the first time the studio’s released a blockbuster—but the ecstatic early rumblings around Black Panther, coupled with the fact that it marks T’Challa’s first solo film, make this superhero story a particular force to be reckoned with.
The you-shall-not-post-on-social-media wall will lift at 1 AM EST on January 30th, a full 18 days before the movie hits theaters. The embargo on actual reviews, meanwhile, lifts at 12 PM EST on February 6th, 10 days before Black Panther arrives on the big screen.
For the most part, these dates are in keeping with the MCU’s recent history of opening up their films to critics well in advance. Of their last four releases, Doctor Strange’s embargo went up 12 days ahead of its release, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2′s went up 11 days ahead, Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s was 8 days, and Thor: Ragnarok‘s was opened up just over 2 weeks in advance. That last one was a bit of an outlier, as Marvel actually moved up its release date in a display of supreme confidence that the movie would be a critical darling. A similar fate could still await Black Panther, but in the meantime, it’s found itself in a comfortable middle ground amongst its MCU brethren.
I actually liked God of Egypt.
I just...didn't. But a lot of people liked Pacific Rim, for instance, and I was rooting for the kaiju through the whole thing.
