She did NOT compare this movie to Batman Begins or X Men in their content, but she compare how the directors of each of these movies made them feel like smaller movies instead of Blockbusters...
Clean your freaking ears. she says this movie felt like how Batman Begins and X men did not feel like huge action packed blockbusters but more like smaller budget movies..... how there are deeper issues in the 3 movies and not necessarily a lot of blockbuster action

Probably one of the most important things about this movie that I am interested in is the second week drop off.

I wish people would just go watch this movie and like it because they thought it was good or not like it because they think it's not. I have always liked the Panther as a character and a cool superhero. I don't like him because he's black but rather because he's just neat. Please leave your social agendas at the theater entrance and judge the movie based on whether it's good or not. That's what I'm going to do and if it rocks, awesome and if it doesn't live up to what I love about him then I'm going to say so. My favorite version of BP was the Priest, Teixeria version so I hope it's close to that but I'm not holding my breath.

Grace pointed out that this film generally ignores the MCU... that’s not a good look when we are eagerly anticipating the Infinity War films. The build up for IW is a 10 year work in progress, the director chose to make this film political. I’m sure it will be entertaining but it’s already been established it’s not really a superhero movie... more of a “hey we are HERE, we matter, give us your validation, we are important too”
If this movie is supposed to change the way people view black culture, from the sounds of it they’ve made it less inclusive and more exclusive.
For **** sake Grace compared this film to Roots... she forgot to mention that since Roots first premiered there’s been a black president, Secretary of State, Beyoncé Jay Z Serena Williams, a bucket load of other public figures that dominate their respective fields from the African American community.
“So this is how white people feel everyday”
There’s been all black films before that makes no sense to trivialize it. It’s not a coincidence the trailer repeats “the revolution will not be televised”.
I’m still interested in seeing this but I’m not drinking the Kool Aid, this film should not have been about politics, but as assumed it has.
