This movie had to get just ONE THING right for me to fully embrace it and welcome it into the quality MCU side and they went and ****ed it up lol

Black Panther

Action

That’s it.

But no.

Superman freaking Returns had better action lolz

Yes, someone might say "but action wasn't BP's main priority" but that is no excuse to have supbar action during the sequences that called for it. At the end of the day a movie that deals as equally in high tech espionage as it does in savage tribal warfare should *not* have worse action than a wacky space comedy like Ragnarok. Action was never Nolan's focus either but the Batpod/truck chase blew everything away in BP. 10 years later a movie about a high tech super ninja with an unlimited budget and a decade in VFX advancements shouldn't be playing second fiddle.

Fortunately I fully expect the Russos to make up for it next month.

Bam and Bam...

If Khev, Jye, and JAWS all agree then its 100% scientific fact.

If Khev and or Jye don't agree with JAWS there is a 99% chance that Khev and or Jye are wrong. :lol (I really blew it with Skull Island :lol)

:lol :lol

I think when two of us agree on something the third should automatically concede. I fully expect to see Iron Studios porgs complimenting your Predator display in the coming months. :yess:

Saw it in a good theater finally. My church was taking 23 urban kids to see it
Got to see the full effects and the full experience. I liked a lot of it.
Visually the movie is very very beautiful. The sets and the country shots were gorgeous. Wakanda reallyisa beautiful place.
I really liked all the actors, i loved the women. I really really loved the sister character. She was the best part of the movie. She had the best lines. Definitely my favorite thing about the movie.
Claw was pretty funny, he was great with the little bit he had in the movie.
The casino scene was very cool. Very hip. The chase scene was pretty bad ***.
Killmonger is really cool, he needed a lot more screen time. Hes a real tragic character.

Wakanda is still a super stupid concept. I still hate their system of government.

The end battle is ridiculous and reminded me of the phantom menace a lot. The rhinos and the carpet shields were cringe worthy. What a horrible and ridiculous way to end a movie... the way it ended was even more stupid.

Another thing i realized is that this reminded me a lot of the lion king in the drama between royal family and the taking of the throne by a villain member of the royal family, the female pride having to work for the new king, the girlfriend of the hero escaping to go find him and bringing him back.

Even the end is the same, with the lions and hyenas fighting while the hero king fights the villain king.

This was basically lion king with humans.

Iron Studio Porgs wut lol

I liked the Dora (the Explorer) fight against KM.

KM voice in the mask was pretty creepy very narly like.

The rest of the movie meh lol

You're not the only one that got a Lion King feel/vibe from it bro - it resonated throughout the entire film almost. Speaking of which, the live action version of LK is coming next year. Disney won't screw this up right? Right?!

That's because both films borrow heavily from themes in Hamlet.

That's true but with the jungle settings and the waterfall and the music and the female guards/ pride it just felt like specifically borrowing from lion king. Even in aesthetic and flavor.
Specially if you think about the lion king play with humans in costumes. It felt like it borrowed a lot of style from the live lion king.

The brightly colored costumes combined with the poor compositing and obviously constructed sets also gave it a stagey feel.

The framing, cinematography were basic and not very cinematic.

It’s much more “TV” feelimg than Avengers, which got blasted for it.

Ok yeah you said it a lot better than me.
Yes, it feels like a play. Specially any time they are on green screen stages in wakanda. Doesnt feel like a real place, it feels like a stage

You only just figured that out? Hello.... Disney.

I don’t know if anyone bothered with that Prince of Persia movie a few years ago but it’s kind of the same deal with Aladdin. Ben Kingsley is an amazing Jafar.

Soul stone has to be there.

Only makes sense that the soul stone is what grants you access to your deceased ancestors.

I bet those purple herbs come from the soul stone.

Black Coco lol
