Thanks to everyone who's posted friendly replies and hellos. I've actually lurked here a while, checking out custom 12" figure work....
I'd LIKE to post my favorite babes, but I think I'd be in danger of blowing some of Sideshow's 'announcement hooplah' by starting a process-of-elimination discussion... I wanna keep SS happy, so we can do lots more work together!
The process of making these statues is a bizarre one, with many unforseen (by me) factors. Like, the choice of Mary Jane for #2. Well, the outside factor of their being a SPIDER-MAN film seems to have been part of MARVEL's decision-making process. The choices of characters is also somewhat on-going. In the second batch of three, we've already had one switch. Meaning, a certain character was originally slated, and then it was decided to go with a different one. So, as I get ready to design the next three, it's entirely possible that as I'm sketching #4, #6 might get changed!
That being said, I would pay Sideshow myself if I got do so a comiquette of the Inhuman Crystal, but in her FF outfit from FANTASTIC FOUR #81. That was my very first comic, ever.
And I guess the cat's out of the bag on our dominatrix Aunt May figure, from the rarely-seen "Aunt Mayhem!!!" storyline, wherein it's PETER who has the heart attack upon discovering his aunt's other identity...
I'll gather some Emma statue pics and post them. I know its tough when no ONE release makes everyone happy, but I think no matter what you're inclinations, if you ordered Emma, you'll be really happy.
And for those exclusive-minded folks out there... it seems the exclusives on ALL of these will be a full-color limited edition litho (NOT a sketch) by me. I think the reasoning was a sound marketing one. I don't get to do a lot of MARVEL work, so if we can get some fence-sitters to commit to a purchase because its the only place they can get some MARVEL babe art by me... well, I guess that's the decision. I have no idea what ELSE the exclusives COULD be. What sort of sculpted three-dimensional extra could Andy's Emma have? More clothing? A citation for public indecency? It's a crummy piece of art. Put it eBay if it's not your cup of tea.
