I know I must be in the minority on this one, but I really like the head sculpt. It looks great in person. No need for a repaint IMO.

yea..ur nuts..

the eyes are looking wayyy to far up, the head is just terrible…i had no interest in the EX head until i saw the regular head in person…now I thank my lucky stars I have something to cover that thing up with..the arm thing (the name of which is TOTALLY slipping from me atm) left a lot to be desired as well. I actually just sent mine out to be repainted and to have the arm thing touched up so that it looks like a weapon and not some random plastic thing. But for real, that head is so damn bad:

I'm fine with my regular head. I never really cared for it anyway because that's now how I looked in the ME experience so I just keep mine helmeted.

The problem with this statue is that even once you've "fixed" the head that is pretty bad, you're still left with a statue with a ridiculously flashy stand that looks out of place, and a very awkward pose.

Now of course there's something for everyone and I'm happy for the people who enjoy theirs, but personnally I think our best hope at getting a good Shepard statue these days is GamingHeads who's already working on 3 excellent Mass Effect statues of Shepard's team.

I'm sure they'll reveal a Shepard in the next few months, unless Sideshow has an exclusive contract over that likeness for now.

Very impressive man. Its night and day.
So the sculpt is there after all. Couldn't tell if it was the just production paint or both that and the scult that was off.
I can see Shepard there now.
That's a really good paintjob man, did you do it yourself?

While this is better, the sculpt is still WAY off. One of the few times I've seen a head sculpt being wrong in the sculpt itself (and not just due to the poor paint app). The jaw lines are SO wrong. Pose is silly. The omniblade is that kind of particle effect that should never be translated in statue form, doesn't work. Base is a punch in the eye.
Not to detract from the repaint, it's an awesome job and overall, if you're a fan of the character, really saves this POS of a statue and makes it somewhat acceptable.
Talk about wasting a license.

I felt that way initially..its one of the main reasons why I had the omni-blade re-done, the suit fixed, etc…the jaw line though is spot on not sure if your aware of that…look:

the suit is actually pretty good in person and is accurate..base I can't say anything lol and of course pose could be better, no doubt
