That is BAD.ASS

I'm playing ME1 again. I never had a romantic interest all the times I played it and I want to see what will happen in 3 if I stay faithful to Kaidan. But damn....playing this sure makes me appreciate ME2 a whole lot more.

Shepard looked good in full cgi, for get real life casting, that's the way to do a movie.
I knew I was right to stick with Ashley.

Well I finished 1 again. Got my romance on with Kaidan and this time I saved the Council. I did very few side missions and I only explored one planet (that wasn't part of a main mission). :lol But I got the job done, so I'm glad. Tomorrow I'll import my new character and do ME2 again. That one is such a more complex game, in terms of all the missions and necessary side missions. No way I'll finish that one in 1 1/2 days.

After seeing the ending in ME1 after saving the council, I think I made a mistake not saving them in my previous games....I thought sacrificing a couple to save hundreds/thousands would be the better choice....but I now think by doing that, I made it difficult for other alien races to trust humans. I have a feeling this decision could play some part in ME3.

From a technical standpoint, I am right there with you. Storywise, no comment as I love ME1

I love the story too....I just hate the cover system, the weapons, upgrading, etc... I like the design of ME2 in regards to those aspects, much more.

Not intended as a critique or criticism of you personally Jen.

It's interesting how players are approaching this series and it's decision and consequences dynamic. It sounds like many are playing it for the "perfect" ending. That is to say they want all team mates and crew to live that's possible, get every one on board as an ally that's possible and all out comes as favorable as possible. All done with godlike hindsight from having played the first two games before and with some insight of what's to come in the third.
For myself, I want the finished story to reflect an outcome based on my temperament, morales and heat of the moment decisions all made with the facts available to my character at the time.
Even though it's possible to keep Miranda alive for instance, I have no intention of altering my response just to keep her alive.
My gut reaction at the time of our exchange over Jack was one of indignant anger given what I'd just done for her.
I didn't save the council (same reasons as you originally had Jen)and *gasp* I turned the Reaper base over to the Illusive man based on the hope his scientists could come up with ways to use the tech against the invaders. I did so partly out of gratitude of being resurrected by him and the hope that he wasn't stupid enough to think he could make a deal with the Reapers and was really looking out for mankinds best interests.

I'm sure many will play through the third installment numerous times as I will but I want my "canon" version to reflect me....

even if it does destroy the galaxy:lol

Wait a minute, there was a cover system in ME1! This I did not know, or maybe just never bothered with it:lol

I actually really liked the weapon and upgrading systems. It was a lot more varied than in 2. From the sounds of it, ME3 will have a weapon custimization similar to the first game, which I am happy about.

I did the same but my philosophy for ME3 is going to be kill everyone.
