I'm currently playing the crap out of the Demo. I'm really enjoying the MP aspect. I've unlocked a few characters from the Veteran packs and many weapons. So far I have maxed out 2 of the 6 classes. I'm hoping I have enough time to finish all classes by release. It will be interesting to see what other MP game types they'll have once the full game is released.

Not intended as a critique or criticism of you personally Jen.

It's interesting how players are approaching this series and it's decision and consequences dynamic. It sounds like many are playing it for the "perfect" ending. That is to say they want all team mates and crew to live that's possible, get every one on board as an ally that's possible and all out comes as favorable as possible. All done with godlike hindsight from having played the first two games before and with some insight of what's to come in the third.
For myself, I want the finished story to reflect an outcome based on my temperament, morales and heat of the moment decisions all made with the facts available to my character at the time.
Even though it's possible to keep Miranda alive for instance, I have no intention of altering my response just to keep her alive.
My gut reaction at the time of our exchange over Jack was one of indignant anger given what I'd just done for her.
I didn't save the council (same reasons as you originally had Jen)and *gasp* I turned the Reaper base over to the Illusive man based on the hope his scientists could come up with ways to use the tech against the invaders. I did so partly out of gratitude of being resurrected by him and the hope that he wasn't stupid enough to think he could make a deal with the Reapers and was really looking out for mankinds best interests.

I'm sure many will play through the third installment numerous times as I will but I want my "canon" version to reflect me....

even if it does destroy the galaxy:lol

I get what you are saying. :) I have 3 different characters that I have saved. Though to be honest, aside from saving the council this last time and having a relationship, I have always ended up making the same decisions. :lol As a leader for my team, I feel I owe it to them, to try and make the best decisions for the long term...not some decision made in the heat of the moment that I might regret later after I have cooled down a bit. Perhaps I'm just naive in hopes that I can mend relationships with all alien races. I know we will need these allies in the future - and I guess I like having friends vs enemies. So maybe in real life I would be a crappy leader because I will bust my butt to try and help everyone and get everyone to see the big picture and work together...which may not even be possible...but I will still try. I think aside from me saving the Council this last time - all my decisions have been a reflection of me and how I tend to make decisions. I've always been one of those people who tries to see all sides in a situation and I try to understand where people are coming from and why they are making the choices they are making. And I love my team! :lol If I can save them all, I will....I might not always agree with them...but as their captain I will do what I can to protect them. :) Yeah...I may be too soft....but that's who I am. :lol

And I still can't get myself to give Cerberus the Reaper info. I too am grateful for what he did - but the Illusive Man scares me. I don't like his pro human agenda and his/Cerberus's history. Yes we need to look out for humans - especially since we are the ones currently under attack by the Reapers - BUT we need to have good relationships with all alien races. As we know, we can't fight this battle alone....and I just strongly feel that giving that info to Cerberus would be a mistake.
I have read that there is speculation that if you gave the info to Cerberus, we may have a human made reaper to aid us in our fight - so your decision may actually be rather beneficial.

Just curious: are you typically a RPG fan or 3rd person/1st person shooter fan?

I'm more a 3rd person shooter fan - but I do enjoy a good RPG.

Wait a minute, there was a cover system in ME1! This I did not know, or maybe just never bothered with it:lol

I actually really liked the weapon and upgrading systems. It was a lot more varied than in 2. From the sounds of it, ME3 will have a weapon custimization similar to the first game, which I am happy about.

Not a very good cover system, imo. :lol If you ran up to a wall, you went into cover....and if you wanted to take cover behind a box or something, you had to hit the button to crouch down. Sometimes, I had no intention of taking cover but I would get stuck to a wall because it would put me in wall cover automatically if I got too close to it.

I suppose I like the ME2 weapon customization because it was simpler. I usually always used the same type of ammo, and it was easy to equip all my weapons with it - as well as my crews. Having to go through every single weapon and add upgrades for me and my crew in ME1 was just so tedious to me. But it's good if you like having a lot of options.

That's not from the ME soundtrack. It's by a company called Two Steps from Hell--they specialize in music you hear in trailers.

Correct. The track is called 'Black Blade', from the non-public album 'Power of Darkness', but also featured on their first public release 'Invincible'.
Great music.

As I've been telling Jen recently, I'm new to this party as I just recently got an Xbox and picked up ME2 for pretty cheap. Holy Crap do I love this game, I seriously devoured the crap out of it. I can't wait to play 3 and hopefully they'll be just as active with DLCs as they were with 2.

I've been trying to play Skyrim - which is a great game - but all I want to do is play ME2 again. I think I may have a problem.

Mass Effect 3 DLC leaks to Xbox Live Marketplace....

ME WANTS !!!! I want to have a
Prothean
crew member !!!!!

I wonder if
they will find him in cryo-storage or something like that to explain why he's still alive. Or maybe he's a collector ????

Yea, he definitely looks like a collector! :panic:

Perfect timing to get my new pc 2012 for this game.

its going to look amazing on my new GTX 580.

so pumped.

Lol. This is a console-developed game. You won't need anything close to a gtx 580 to run this at max with 60fps. Oh wait, you were just fishing for attention again.
