I want this jacket so badly in real life:

Me too. So badass.

Ok, so on disk swap #6 or so, and have this game downloaded to 360 HDD; noticed when ask to switch to other disk, the game doesn't stop spinning in tray. Anyone else notice this?

Mine doesn't spin, but I have noticed for me I can't load/resume my game from the second disc. All it does is stay on the loading screen, and eventually the background noise stops.

Finished the game ....so good. Now I will try some different endings. And I can finally get some sleep. :lol

Got to play a bit more---I was delayed because I bought some new cooling hardware for my computer and it took way too long for me to install it all.

Game is great so far. And I'm still enjoying the multiplayer a lot. I think I might get my galactic readiness all the way long before I finish the single player. Reapers are really hard in multiplayer though, seriously crazy I don't know what the thing is called, but it was almost impossible to kill and it destroyed everyone.

Played a couple of hours! Top game so far! I'm really liking how it has loosened up a bit in terms of gameplay and the variety of the missions. It doesn't feel like the same mission time after time like in ME2 (yet). I'm loving how you can be a soldier class yet still not have a load of weapons clumped on his back (as you can carry as many weapons as you want) I want to see that suit! So that's a plus point, yet I'm baffled as to why you can't holster your weapons anymore. Bad point. And the speed at which he walks when not in combat still bugs me :lol I don't want to run everywhere man!

There was some talk earlier about how crucial MP is if you want the optimal endings for the game. Well having finished the game, did all side quests and scanned all planets for war assests, I found something out...that puts a bit of a twist on things. I'll put it in spoilers for those who don't want to know. I'm not giving any spoilers, I don't think...just saying what is or is not possible if you do not play MP.

Without MP you can not get your Readiness level above 50%. I got the maximum number of war assets that I could (perhaps I could have gotten a higher rating if I made different decisions in game 2...but anyway, I had over 7,000 points for military assets..x 50% readiness only gives me a around 3,500 points total. Yes, I can save the galaxy/Earth BUT if you want to also save Sheperd...you need 4,000-5,000 points total. I see no other way to do that if you don't do MP. If anyone does find a way...let me know. :)

Yup, was just reading an article about that. I had my war assets to 5,579 (because I read on IGN's guide if you had 5k+ Shep would live with no mention of multiplayer. I read if you choose "destroy" at the end your supposed to see Shepherd's body move.

Yet he did not. He's dead as a door nail.

I must say I'm quite disappointed. And really have no desire to play the campaign again. They kill all the cool characters (but Jacob lives...really?) and then Shep dies. Bioware failed with warping the story up.

I have to say I was a bit disappointed too. I think it's a FANTASTIC game - but damn, losing the characters I did...plus no way to keep Sheperd alive made it a sad ending for me. :( I've been averaging about 4 hours of sleep per night since this came out Monday at midnight. I am so exhausted mentally and every death makes me cry. The ending made me cry....I'm too emotional right now and I really wanted some key people to survive so the ending bums me out. I tried 2 of the 3 options...will do the last one just to see it...then I'll restart before the Illusive Man base mission and do some MP to see if more people (including Sheperd) live.

Finished?! Already?! How many hours have you been playing!? :lol:panic:

Around 30. I always play through first time on casual...so I was able to rip through it fairly quickly...and I did all side quests. :)

Been avoiding all kinds of forums that are mentioning ME3 so I can get my own feel for it....and my god, this game is awesome. Been busy with work and school, but I cant stop playing when I have free time lol

So I finally started the game, and since my FemShep didn't import over, I rebuilt her.... multiple times. I think I tweaked her 5 to 6 times just to make sure I liked how she looked at all angles and lighting, so I must have wasted 3 hours replaying the Earth escape and some of Mars over and over again. (and that's after the time needed to download the CE DLC and install the game >_<)

Lol. I tend to do this whenever I play a make-your-own-character game. I don't know if this applies to ManShep, but I find i annoying that the skin color during the customization is so very different than the actual colo due to the various lighting. I started with a paler femshep, but she looked like an albino in in the actual game. That deemed a rebuild. :thud:

But I'm loving it so far. I love the updated level up system. The gameplay feels much tighter, and I'm glad that you don't get tired while running anymore. Cant wait til I have more time to play.

Gotta say, 12 hours in and this game has me on the edge of my seat. While I dislike how vague side missions are, the overall structure is much improved from ME2

Found the old armors - playing with my Collector armor - looks great in ME3

You can see from the DLC page that there should be 4 more coming.

would be great if they offered some happier ending options. I dont have the drive to play this multiple times knowing how depressing these endings are. Even if you save Sheperd,, its a couple seconds of him/her gasping for air under rubble. Love this game...but it does give me a sad at the end.

Exactly.

They should have given you the choice. Control them and die, or destroy and live. Which they tried to do, but failed when they thought of this grand idea: "Oh hey, lets make it the only way Shepherd lives is if you play multipler first.

You might even think paragon/renegade would play a part in it.

Guess I would have been the only one sitting at that table saying, "Whoa guys, you know most people will play the campaign before they touch the co-op...right?"

Edit: Just read this on IGNs forums and this guy nailed it:

"I really feel as though the ending to ME3 ruins the entire trilogy, and I don't say that lightly. I understand (and normally enjoy) the need for endings where it isn't all wonderful for everyone in the end, but I feel as though when writing this ending, the creators forgot that the most important aspect of story in Mass Effect was building relationships."

I agree. What I loved about the first two was doing everything possible to save my crew...no matter what it took. I cared about them. This game it doesn't matter. Joker, Kaidan and the Prothean got off the Normandy...but what about everyone else...my other crew members from ME2? I guess they all died. If I had to play this game 20 times and play MP for 100 hours, I would do it if I could save more in the end. Instead I finish an amazing trilogy feeling I should have been able to do more to save my crew.

WOW alot of people are pissed about the endings. i thought I did somthing wrong only to find out I did most things right. I'm so depressed.

Hey guys I've been taking extensive screen caps as I play along (using FOV mod), if anyone is interested. They're all 1920x1200 in the link. May contain spoilers, but I'm playing fairly slowly so it shouldn't be far along at all.

I only just started last night because I've spent the last 4 weeks completely replaying both ME 1 and ME 2 (85 hours total...wow!). I'm assuming most here are playing as Male Shephard, because this topic hasn't really been brought up. I've been default female Shephard in the previous two games. She looked the same in the previous two versions, but this time EA and Bioware changed her default appearance, which REALLY pisses me off! Why???

Anyway, I figured I would just import my ME 2 Shephard over and it would not be a big deal, but doing do so brings up some glaring flaws. The two biggest are the fact that her hair is blond and her eyes are not green. Both can be adjusted of course, but how does Bioware let such a simple and obvious flaw slip through?

But the main thing is, her face just doesn't look like it did in ME 1 or 2 even with the import option and changing the hair and eye color. It's similar, but off. That's all I've been able to focus on while playing and watching the cut scenes. I feel like I'm going to have to spend a lot of time tweaking the sliders to get a better match which is really a pain.

Ashley looks off too. Very similar, but it's like Bioware wanted to make the female characters "sexier" at the expense of altering who they are visually. As dedicated as Ashley is to her Alliance career, it's not believable she would be walking around with her hair down like that. I also noticed Liars's breasts have been made much bigger than the previous two versions.

To some, these issues may not be a big deal, but after dedicating so many hours to this trilogy, it's a shame (to me) that Bioware messed with their own formula. Feels like a sellout decision. I'll assume Jack and Miranda look drastically different too, but I haven't gotten that far.

It's as bad as changing actors in tv shows and movies when the characters don't change. Dukes of Hazard, Airwolf, Fresh Prince. Even April O'Neil changed actresses from in the TMNT movies from the 80's/90's. So annoying!!!

After doing some searching, I found a post by someone on the Bioware forums that was as "concerned" (haha) about this issue as I was. He posted a custom face code of a fem shep that looks as close to the ME 2 default shep as he could get it. Looks pretty good!

MASS_EFFECT 2 Default Female Shepard for ME 3

As close as I could get to her appearance in Mass Effect 2.

Facecode:
741.QHG.M17.F88.GDQ.13S.1D8.111.G96.612.6G5.476

Original hair color/style does not exist and eye shape is slightly different.

Not an EXACT match, but close enough that I was pleased._ I tried to create my own Fem Shep back in ME1, but just settled on the Default because I couldn't make anything I liked more._ After playing through both games multiple times, I was very unhappy that I could not import into Mass Effect 3 properly._ The new Default is just fine, but simply not MY shepard._ I really like the default original Femshep and just couldn't part with her for ME3.

Just start a new game (import/new), choose custom appearance then copy and paste the facecode._ Pick your favorite hair color then you're good to go!_

Please make sure you try it out IN-GAME as the character creation screen does not do it justice.
