The more I hear, the more I am glad that I did not get around to playing ME3 yet. By the time I do, it sounds like most of the original issues will be fixed / covered.

pretty much :D
The extended endings aren't just...extended endings either. That download adds cut scenes and dialogue into the last hour of play time to fix up narrative problems.

If you've waited this long, you may as well wait for the Aria: Omega single player DLC, though that won't affect the endings.

Yeah, I've pretty much decided that I am going to wait until they've finished adding DLC to it so that I can just enjoy it the way it was probably originally meant to be before EA rushed them to finish it.

Thankfully, the Fall Push is coming so I'll be plenty occupied in the mean time:yess:

Bioware Docs May Have Left Over Negative Fan Reaction
Former Bioware employee suggests "overwhelming negativity" to Mass Effect 3 and The Old Republic forced the founders out.

by Luke Karmali
An ex-Bioware developer has claimed the negative fan reaction to Mass Effect 3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic led to company founders*Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka leaving both Bioware and the games industry.
In an interview with Now Gamer*Trent*Oster, who worked in senior positions at Bioware from its founding until June 2009, shared that the last time he met up Zeschuk, he was visibly exhausted.

You have to love games and you put your heart into them to create them. To have the fans creating petitions against the work is pretty hard to take.
"The last time I met up with [Greg], I felt his exhaustion,” claimed Oster. "Punch out, eject, get the hell out", was my suggestions to him and it hit closer to the mark than I had realised. I also think the Mass Effect 3 fan reaction and the Old Republic fans' negativity was just too much.
"You have to love games and you put your heart into them to create them. To have the fans creating petitions against the work is pretty hard to take, especially when you've spent the last few years crunching overtime to try and ship a game. It can be hard to shut off the overwhelming negativity the internet spews forth, especially when it has your name or the name of your company in it."
But while he wasn't hugely surprised about Zeschuk deciding to leave as a result, Oster revealed that he never would have guessed Muzyka would depart as well, as he always considered him an "EA lifer."
"Ray surprised me. I had him pegged as an EA lifer," he shared. "My thought was the Ray agenda was to first usurp Frank Gibeau and then later John Riccitiello as CEO.
“I'm sure the internal culture at EA had pinned the Old Republic conversion to free to play as a failure and hung that completely on Ray, so that would have hurt his upward climb. But, I figured he would fight harder. EA upper management must have been even worse than I thought."
Though it originally launched to impressive player numbers, figures for The Old Republic have fallen in recent months and the game is now adopting a free-to-play option from next month. Mass Effect 3, meanwhile, polarised fans of the series with its ending, which eventually led to an alternate one being provided as DLC.

Wow, crazy stuff. It's unfortunate that Zeschuk and Muzyka are leaving, but I'm sure they made the best choice for themselves and I hope everything works out for them.

thats insane .

Serves them right. Rushing products, every head piece of decision making should be sacked at that company. Well, maybe not, but at least they shouldnt have made such ****ty products this last 2 years.

Bioware is no longer bioware; haven't been since ME2. All the main talent responsible for the original game have left the company - except Casey Hudson, or as I call him, the 'Rick Berman' of Bioware

Hey anybody has any news on the Mass Effect compilation?
Will they include the DLC stuff in it already. i.e; The comic recap from ME2, Javik and the remade endings for ME3.

Will they include the contents that were previously cut out. i.e: Is Kaidan romanceable in ME1, James romanceable in ME3 and such.

Is there a collector’s edition.

These are questions that needs to be asked.

I suspect an updated version with all DLC is inevitable. I would expect a release of all 3 games on a blu ray. I doubt there will be another collectors edition unless it is some special edition of the all 3 games version that will come with a special figure or bust or some other collectible with it.

Collectors enemy faction: Praetorian, Scion, Abomination, Trooper, and Captain.
Cerberus enemy: Dragoon.
Geth enemy: Drones.

New upgrades.
'Challenges', think achievements, to multiplayer. Used to unlock titles and banners for your character profiles.

New “Hazard” Versions of Existing Maps

Wage war across six maps, featuring new environmental hazards and traps. A regular rotation of Firebases will be introduced to different hazards as they come under attack. Survive the onslaught of Acid, Lightening, Meltdowns, Sandstorms, Swarms and Whiteouts!

New Multiplayer Challenge Feature

Think you are the best soldier in the Alliance? Make sure to track your progress in the new “Challenges” database. Complete various multiplayer assignments and feats of strength to unlock titles and banners to display in-game, and then compare your progress against your friend. How does it work?

The “Challenges” database tracks various in-game statistics, such as your N7 Typhoon usage. To earn challenge points, you’ll need to complete mini-goals. For example, accumulate 140,000 points while using the Typhoon in multiplayer and you’ll be rewarded with 10 challenge points. What Can You Do With Challenge Points?

Challenge points are used to unlock cool in-game multiplayer bonuses, such as new titles and banners. Want other players to know that you’re a Council Operative? You can do that. Want to be the envy of your friends with a flashy new banner to display in the player lobby? You can do that, too! Challenge points lead to unlocks, and unlocks allow you to personalize your multiplayer experience. Now, you’ve got some work to do, Soldier!

Also, Volus race and classes:

Coolness. A bit pricey, so I hope it truly is as big as they say, but either way I'm really looking forward to more ME single player content.
