Man I really have to get me a ROTJ Vader though, that thing is awesome.

I like the ROTJ Vader more than the other two. It's a Graflex, and it's just a brutal, industrial design. No shiny bling crap. It represents everything that makes the OT great.

i quit Master Replicas a long time ago because of their BS. they did make great collectibles, but they got greedy buy screwing their loyal customers that were with them from day one. sooo....i have many of their lightsabers, blasters, mini lightsabers-- but only because i refuse to sell them for less than what i paid for them.

Well said. I was a loyal customer for years. Bought almost every product they made between 2002-2005 but as soon as they made the CS a pay-only membership I was out. I got nothing out of it the first year except the Elite Obi-Wan. Their marketing strategy took a nose-dive and I haven't bought anything from them since except for the Vader helmet. I want the Gree helmet but I'm not paying $60 to join the CS on the CHANCE I might get to order one before they sell out. I'm only collecting 1:6 now.

IMO I dont pay money to buy the company, i pay for the products. Sure MR ran themselves into a pretty deep crap hole...but their lightsabers and replicas are still the best out there.

Kept all of my stuff, but have learned the best way to buy their products after the past year and half.

Never order direct, wait for deals from retailers or secondary market. Their bad marketing/sales tactics actually benefit me quite well.

Maybe I am missing something what have they done wrong. I know people don't like paying for the lil club things but they give you a special item. Sorry I have a feeling this is the way of the future. I know people dont like it but it just seems that way. Buying direct is a must for small editions that may not make it to retailers, but for the larger editions retailers are the way to go. You never know.

They just got greedy to take advantage of the EpIII hype. Look at all the 2006 sabers, you can find them for $200 nowdays, and they retailed direct from MR for $329 or something like that.

The Luke ANH Elite Edition retailed for around $500 and now you can get one for $300.

Mainly their products just did not warrant their retail price tags from the over saturation and also the numerous rehashes of elite editions, sig editions, etc.

anyone have the Vader EP III LE lightsaber? what's your thoughts on it?

I don't own this one, but saw it in person a few times. Personally, it looks alright, but I wouldnt spend too much on it because it doesnt hold very much meaning to me. If I could find it for $100 I'd probably pick it up, but not for more than that.

It's absurd they made an Episode III lightsaber for Vader when he never used it in the film. More from the shameless money-grubbing Luca$film marketing machine.

You can't get better than this. Luke ANH made from a genuine vintage graflex flash

.....and in the new display shelves with my MR Obi-Wan ANH weathered. FABULOUS item to hold. Oh, and I've got 2 fx's as well.... Anakin Ep.3 and Vader Ep.5... they're jjust so cool to light up and swoosh around

I recently acquired an FX saber (Vader ANH) but its not really for me/my collection atm, so I'll be selling it soon (although it is mighty fun and beautifully made)
Im really looking for a Vader LE, and the ESB one is from my favourite of the films and looks better than the ANH. Plus I thought I saw mentioned the ANH one is inaccurate? But then again the ROTJ looks wonderful...hmm
The Obi-wan(weathered) is another one of my faves but I hear it hard to find nowadays and can be pretty $$. :monkey2 I also like the Luke ANH and ESB (they look fairly similar in eyes)

Just out of curiosity, what would you guys rank as the best OT LE saber available overall?

I always liked Luke's ESB version. Second would be Vader's from ANH. Third would be Obi's.

Here's mine.

Wow, just found this lightsaber thread. Keep the pictures coming. :rock

Oh and Nash, whenever you pull that Mace lightsaber out of the closet, I am ready for it. :D:lol:monkey5

I have a fair collection of MR props. My first one was the Rebel Trooper Blaster from ANH. Its a great looking blaster, and VERY understated. Also VERY big. You can easily pick them up for less than $200.

My wife wanted the Jango Blasters, and I found a good deal on them, as they were missing the Display Case. I mounted the blasters in a shadow box from Michaels, added a couple LED light strips from Ikea, and they look great. :D

I also have: Qui-Gon: TPM, Obi-Wan: ROTS, Luke: ANH, Vader: ESB and ROTJ SE, LEia: Thermal Detonator SE. I have the LUKE SE ROTJ v2 on order.

As well, I have two customs: Luke ROTJ Hero, and Concept Stormtrooper saber.

My OT favorites are Ben's followed by Luke's ROTJ saber, but the dirty version, not the super-clean "hero" version that licensees usually produce. Then Vader's, though I've never held one.

I've got a couple of sabers, the MR ROTS Obi-Wan LE, MR Qui-Gon CE, a ROTS Obi-Wan custom and an ANH Luke that I made from a Graflex with a conversion kit.

How are the SE's??? I'm still contemplating keeping my Luke V2 ROTJ SE order in and whether or not I should pick up an LE down the road. I've been spending alot lately on MR stuff and those discounts that they've been throwing have been hard to resist (I already got a 212th helmet with the Vader helmet on it's way).

Well, One doesn't NEED the SE's. But they are rather nice.

Historically, MR SE's tend to hold value far better then their LE's.

The ROTJ v2 SE's are very much sold out. The LE"s are all at AD's.

The Vader rotj SE, and the Luke v2 SE will make a very very fine pair on my shelves.

I also try to display my Sideshow figs next to their respective weapons. :)
