So, will this line ever make it to retail stores?..kinda sucks it has not, though i doubt i would ever find them anyway with the beetach azz flea market scalpers that come around every so often.

Just cracked open a newly arrived Skeletor and I have to say.. I need to play with these more often. :lol They really are some amazing figures. Now I want my Stratos and Faker to get here.

Mattel tried to get them into stores and retail declined because there is no entertainment to support it currently.

Ahh man, thats a crock a shissa!..and with all that peg warming Indiana Jones and Speed Racer crap..you'd think looking at lines like the MM Batman that did well and even comparing anything that usually comes out with a vintage theme atleast, usually sells well..i think thats stupid that stores would not carry this, good example being the Anniversary G.I Joe line..thats a great line that sells well and is heavily based on the vintage style mixed with updated look and articulation etc..

Is there any confirmation that they are making a SA Battle Cat?, I might order a Man-E-Faces (i think thats how its spelled) if they decided to release him and a Hordak Trooper..maybe King Hiss as well, ohhh childhood memories.

Battle Cat is confirmed for 2010 release.

actually thats not true....toyguru said that the he man classics was always intended to be exclusively at mattycollector.com and was never intended for retail....(I think because of production numbers is why).

if retail would take G.I.Joe 25th with no entertainment support, then no doubt, retail would of taken these or least a store, like toys arn't us, would of taken them as exclusives.

But indeed, Mattel wants all the glory to themselves, specializing this line on their exclusive website.

Well, if they bring back the core set of characters again for order, i will not miss out on them...most likely but, its such a exspensive hobby these days.

Hm, very possible Im wrong or crossing wires on that one then. But I also believe this line would have died at retail.

I disagree! this is the hottest action figure line on the planet right now and all the many requests for mattel to put these out retail....no way would this line die.All it would really do is make the line 10 times harder to get because the masses that saw this on the shelf would be snatching up the pieces. I like the website idea ,because the hunt gets old and its a waste of time and frustration. Its not like the 80's as a kid, when you walked into K-Mart, Service Merchandise, or toy arnt us, and there were figures always available!

K-Mart was king at one time! they always had it (Starwars,G.I. Joe,He-Man)

Actually yes... it would die...
when the 200x line was released, it was one of the biggest lines amongst collectors, but it was geared towards the mass market, hence you could find it everywhere, and it failed miserably... due to many reasons... but collector's demands will never be enough for MOTU to guarantee a retail release... until the movie comes out...

See the reason I think it would fail is because of the production of a mass market line. I dont think paint would be as consistent, I think quality control would slip a little. As an online only line Matty has complete control over the line. Would I love this to be at retail? Sure. Would it be the same line? Doubtful.q

There is a live action movie in the works?, whats with all the rehash? Robocop as well lol wtf!...well, you know the new line that came out of MOTU a few years back was pretty bland, they were pretty much bricks with no good articulation, He-mans weapons have like circuits on it and crap like that, the only figures i have from that line was the two first released He-Man(vintage iron cross look) and Skeletor(nice figure btw just stupid weapon design) .
