that is a good point...I prefer ordering from home vs wasting gas driving around hunting for toys (those days long gone)
I agree. In my area it's almost impossible to find any kind of "collector" lines.
I just order my figures. Hasbro's store is a god send when it comes to picking up their figures. I wish Mattel would do something similar.
isnt the reason the 200x stuff died was because of mattels stupidity packing 5 he-mans to one man at arms in a case? or 5 skeletors and 1 beast man? (cluttering the shelves)
then the repaints came along! then the typical poor mattel distribution! the line lasted 2+ at retail...
The case packs for the line are what killed the line. By the time Mattel realised the problem and tried to fix it, retailors weren't ordering any more new cases cause they were still sitting on old product. The case ratios for the Snakemen waves were good with 1 of each figure per case but the earlier cases were horrible.
Remember when Mattel had to do the whole Mossman promo to help retailors get rid of all of the Spin Blade figures?
I am happy though that Mattel did learn their lesson from the case ratios problems with MOTU and the Batman/Superman line. If not, we'd be seeing the same problems with the DCUC figures today. Their distribution is still off but I can see a huge improvement with the DCUC line in just the last few months.
