do we really want the subscription?

i'm thinking they are gonna want you to pay upfront for all the figures and then they will ship you one figure each month as they are released. The subscription just ensures that you get a figure without having to fight for one at noon on release day. think of it like a magazine subscription. You get the magazine each month. They don't wait until the end of the year and send you 12 issues at once!
Now I do see that your issue "B" could still be a problem. If you get a defective figure, they might not have replacements left. lets hope they set aside some just in case.

i don't mind that I wouldn't know exactly which characters will be released when signing up for a subscription. Magazines don't tell you what they will print in future issues when you subscribe to a magazine. If you like the mag, you subscribe. I really doubt Mattel will be putting out any real duds anyway.:D

Soo as He-man will be re-released I'd like to see the vintage 8 back redone in new form because by that point we should have Teela officially revealed. The 8 back will be complete.

is that how the subscription service is gonna work?? i want my figures delivered monthly. they should show you the figure a few months in advance and you just put a check next to it in your account if you want the figure. how hard is that?? i only want the subscription cuz it's getting harder and harder for me to order these if they sell out in an hour. i work rotating shifts and when i'm on the day shift, i get screwed over on these and on sideshow PPO's. i'm just a simple man who wants his toys.:( is that too much to ask??

I understand your situation, which is why they should just do advanced pre-orders for the monthly figure like what every online toy site does when selling toys...we ALL can still lock in by pre-ordering vs a blind 6-12 figures subscription method. When Sideshow previews a figure we pre-order it the following week and they give an estimated release(Except Matty will be monthly accurate).Matty should do the same thing, its that simple! no having to pay up front and dropping hundreds all at once for 12 figures (times 2 or 3
with some of us)

The 8 back pics bring back memories. I think I'm going to track down the mini comics.

What the hell is this? It's only $30 for a beastman, but it's painted grey? and looks like painted over top of factory paint job. I'm confused.

Is this our first knock-off counterfeit piece, already?

Those customs are nice. The only thing I really dislike is whenever someone does a custom piece or custom art they always seem to get the Power Sword wrong (even though there is the 200X version). The same thing with She-Ra, they'll usually draw/sculpt her with just a plain and skinny sword (no jewel either). But, I do have to admit, those customs above are very nice.

Also, received my Mer-Man today. He is the best of the line, right after Skeletor! The detail on him is amazing (especially on the 8-back head) and the paint job is excellent. Sigh...now another 3 weeks until Zodac.

dont wanna get flamed here, but does the reuse of body parts bother anyone?? i know it keeps true to the original, i just wish the feet and other things were just a little more unique- like mer mans hands.

Doesn't bother me either. All good companies do it. They take the best parts of the body design and add the distinguishing features of the given character. One thing Mattel could do is have a couple different sized bodies to use for characters, i.e. slimmer or shorter.

No problems at all with reusing body parts. To me these figures are perfect representations of the ones I played with as a child.

well i feel like a bit of an awkward turtle....i guess i was kinda missing some of the awesome detail that was present in the 2002 line even though it overall sucked with the paint apps and lack of articulation.

Nope, that's the whole point of the Classics line...

I loved the 200x line, but it's completely different to this one...
if you like that style better, then maybe Classics isn't for you?...

it doesn't bother me. but i always wondered why He-Man was considered "the strongest man in the universe" yet every other figure is just as ripped as he is.:dunno
