Awesome pictures!!
Wow!!!

True, some are scalpers, but like I mentioned again. We all got a chance to vote and most of us had the crazy idea that we needed to get 10 per person. The pole was posted at He-man.org if you want to see the numbers. Trying to blame Matty doesn't help, they sell as many as they gauge the buyers want, the folks with the extras are the ones who should help those of us who missed out with getting a figure. In fact, I still need a Faker, because my order got messed up at Digital River and Matty's been working on fixing it for almost a month and half now;);). :D

You know what, that's the thing that "grinds my gears" from the .org sometimes, the constant need for complaint. The reality is that I've read about a lot of people buying 4 or more figures, one to open, one in sotrage, one for display MOC. one for customizing, etc.
Somebody mentioned that there were 71 Mer-Mans on Ebay... and that's laughable!!!
I'm sure the Mer-Man production # is at least 5,000. So scalpers aren't the problem here, if the average hard core fan buys at least 2 of these, it only takes 2,500 people to sell these out.
Mattel lost a LOT of Money with the 200x line, and they've been trying to accommodate the fans, I agree they've done pretty stupid things and messed up orders, now add to that the constant whining and ^^^^^ing, and the double standards from fans... well, it will "Kill te Lien" again...

thanks for posting the org pics. they look great. i'm not "qualified" to join the org site. and about polling the fans: i'm a fan and nobody polled me. not all fans hang out at the org. i'm sure there are many fans elsewhere and many would agree that 10 figure limit is ridiculous. especially if there are 70 mer-men on ebay. may not seem like a lot, but i bet if you bought 1, another would take its place by the next day and by the same seller no doubt..

:lol "qualified". Yeah I have been on the ".org" for years but man do those guys get to me sometimes. Bunch on b_tches on there. Makes the Freaks here look like the Get-Along-Gang. Who gives a s_it that Mer-Man's name is Squiddish Rex? I don't. He's still Mer-Man to me.

no i'm serious. i really am not allowed to join the org. something about my email address isn't good enough or some ^^^^ like that. i wanted to join when this line first started so i can see the pics they post over there but my membership was denied. but i do read some of their stuff and yeah, they are as bad as the SW section over here.:lol

.org is decent, for a resource of info. But I don't go there to talk about things. I ended up biting the bullet and resorted to e-bay for mer-man. I paid 7$ over what he was on sale for at matty.

Oh I am aware of their strict registration policies, I just think they are a bit ridiculous. And yeah I know how bad they are, I mostly post in our SW forum. :monkey1

Same here. That's the reason I couldn't register. I have both a yahoo and hotmail account and they don't accept either. I mean how more generic can you get than using those 2 E-mails, I'm not about to go get some oddball E-mail account just to register at .org.

That's where the poll was. Matty had been working with He-man.org to get fan information before the release of the MOTUC line, and was gauging fan interest. In fact, I'd heard about it in this thread.

Just saw this post on www.he-man.org quoting Mattel:

And in other MOTUC news, yes, we will be bringing back He-Man and Skeletor with only slight packaging changes to indicate this is the second run.

And we will re-release all of the sell out figures in time ( maybe not until 2010/2011 ) but we wouldn't want anyone's collection to be lacking!

Woohoo! No ebay for me! I can wait and pick up Faker and Mer-Man for retail later on down the line. :wacky

That also takes the pressure off of Hordak's preorder day.

Don't mean to sound negative, but not everyone is patient like you to wait a year or 2 for them to come back. And of course, for the MOC collectors, the first card will be more important to have than the second run card.

Well yes if you have to have them now and they must be on a first run card then you'll need to pay extra if you miss out. That's totally your decision to make. With the convoluted new bios and ridiculous "real names" (Hordak is now Hec-Tor? :yuck) this line really favors openers anyway.

Except they will sell out in less than an hour, during which time the server will mess up and you will get nothing. NOTHING! NOTHING I TELL YOU!!!!! :duh

:lol

Well that would definitely suck.

"Sweet its finally February 2011. I can finally order Mer-Man again!" **logs onto Mattycollector.com, gets error message, Mer-Man sells out in 15 minutes**

Mattel: "Don't worry, you can purchase Mer-Man again in 2013!"

:cuss :banghead :lol

It's Battle Cat that really worries me. As the figure creature in the line I'm curious how Mattel generate production numbers. Will they be based on figure sales or just wing it to start and make more later if need be?

While I do not miss the hunt I do have to question the PTB at Mattel...
