In reality... how many people are going to be playing with this?... :dunno

Most of us will use it for display, right?... ;)

Playing with it has nothing to do with it. When things are too small they also.....gasp!.....look too small.

I just received my 30th Anniversary Box.
Absolutely love it.
The Grayskull Sculpt on the front is great and the whole finish is top notch.
I'm just watching it and I'm totally nostalgic right now.
Pics with Classics He-Man in front later, if you fellas like...
:)

Ditto! :rock!

Now, to the WTF moment of the night...
I just hope this is a typo... because I don't think it qualifies as a joke right?
WTH??? :horror

i think the reason your acting in shock, isnt cause what of what he said i think you just dont like scott so everything he says in joking fashion. and all you hear is seriousness, i mean who has watched married with children? Al says alot of times he wants to murder his wife (peggy) and its tooken as humor. but when the hated toy guru says it. its grab the pitch fork time. :cuckoo: seriosuly need to lighten up.

He-Man cannot fit through the door.
It's too small end of story!
Why this even being debated is beyond me.

I personally feel it's very insulting that say that complaining about it being smaller than what were were originally sold is somehow wrong or being whiney.
Folks can naff off with that attitude as far as I am concerned.

This 'we should be greatful' thing is getting out of hand too.
If we were getting these for free, then yeah the argument of being 'greatful' could apply.
But we are paying top dollar for these things.
They would not be making them if we were not paying for them.
They would not be making money if we did not give them our money to make these.

This is a non argument and no amount of measuring videos will ever make me accept that we are not getting less that what we agreed to.
Let us not forget the conditions that needed to happen for this castle to get comissoined in the first place. "we can't make this without your help".

I am excited about the castle but I will forever dissapointed it's not bigger and smaller than what we were led to believe.

Here here! Particularly on the "we should be grateful" thing. I totally agree.

personaly i cant comment on the castle cause i was always debating to get it or not , and no not due to the design or size but for space and such. so i rather not diss it or put it down to sway other members.

So the concept of being sold one size and actually getting another is too complex for you to comment on? There is no right or wrong there in your eyes?

I am not putting it down. I am saying it's smaller than we were originally sold on.
Folks who would call me a whiner for stating this obvious fact can just naff off as such a position is BS.
If they are not bothered, good on em but to suggest we are being whiney or unfair is insulting.

I am sure the Filmation sub only exists due to fan demand and has nothing at all to do with making easy money due to the very few new parts in any of those characters.

But hey, I guess we should be greatful. :cuckoo:

I have no horse in this race. I didn't pre-order the Castle and never wanted to. It's simply not a product that was ever for me.

But I can still see a clear case of bait and switch and be a bit peeved about it. It's a bummer and it's not cool, particularly since the specific size of it was used as a selling point and is mentioned a few times in the materials for the preorder.

It sucks. Stuff like this happens though and to me it's not important that a company has screwed up, it's important how they handle the screwup and of course Mattel has handled it poorly and in a childish manner.

Everyone has their right to think what they like. But that's not usually the issue. It's usually more that people not only want to express what they think, they want everyone to agree with them and will make the same points over and over in an effort to make others believe what they do. Well, that seems to be their motivation! Unless they simply are very bored and have the time to endlessly debate the same thing over and over.

We're long past the point of any new, intelligent things being said about this issue.

So basically… you're telling everyone else to shut up. Okay thanks.

Er, no. As I said, people are free to say whatever they like. But there comes a certain point where it's all just noise. I wasn't addressing you, specifically, btw, as I was typing while you were typing.

However, as an example, you have basically posted the same thing over and over, and you're not even buying a Castle! I respect your right do that, and don't get me wrong I've posted over and over about the Castle too. Usually it was new stuff, but at a certain point I realized... look, people are just going to think what they think. There are a few people who will actually try to read what you're saying and take it in, but a lot of people just want to prove you wrong or reply with some snarky, meaningless come back. It's not even a conversation any more. It's just people talking at each other.

I truly hope Mattel makes some changes. Mostly to the door so there is more clearance. Everything else I'm okay with except the pointless Wind Raider dock. But now we're to the point where people are Photoshopping left and right to try to justify their point for whatever. Someone Photoshopped the original castle onto a base that never existed and then placed it next to the new Castle to prove it wasn't that much smaller! LOL!

Again, this is just my personal take on things. But at this point it just seems like a lot of static.

People will talk about the same things over and over… simply because there's nothing new to talk about. I don't see a problem with that. Just go look at one of the Hot Toys figure threads. You'll see hundreds or thousands of pages of people saying the same **** over and over in different ways and that's just about one product. That's just what people do. We're pattern makers. Most music is just repetition with slight variations… which is what the conversation is here. Hell all conversation is like that.
