the interesting thing will be how much of a price hike???..

prices are going higher for 2015 which was confirmed by Scott

will it be a couple bucks or five bucks? Which is part of why I am done after 2014.I can't keep buying figures I don't really want,just to get the few figures that I do want..

After yesterday's reveals, my remaining wants are Ninjor,Tung Lashor,Lizard-man,Mermista (all suppose to be in '14)

and lastly Rio-Blast,Dragstor,Evil Seed and Prahvus....
 
Paying $28 for these after shipping a few years ago kinda sucked. $38 now is even worse. I never feel like I've made a good purchase after I buy and yes I know I don't need to keep buying them but there's just a few more figures I want. It's like watching the last season of Dexter right now. It's horrible and punishes me for watching it each episode but I can't stop now.

Though if I can't get the Horde Troopers and Mantenna I think that's it for me. I'll be quite pissed off and I refuse to pay more than what I already think is too much for them so if I don't get them on sale day the chance is I won't get them and it kinda kills the point of me getting anything else after that.

And what exactly does it mean to be in the top 5 of the most requested large beasts when the following figures have already been done?

Battle Cat
Panthor
Swift Wind
Granamyr
Shadow Beast
Tytus
Megator


Here are the results from the last 2 Beast Idols on He-man.org:

1) Stridor +40
2) Mantisaur +25
3) Sagitar +15
4) Modulok +13
5) Battle Lion +12
6)Spydor +10

4) Molkrom +10
5) Clawdeen +8
6) Battle Lion +6

It doesn't seem like many people voted in the last one and Battle Lion still came in 6th. Even though he has been just in or around the top 5, I don't see us getting 5 beasts in the next 2 years so why was he made a priority? There are many other standard $25 figures I would rather have than him so I think it was a mistake by Mattel to put him in the revised "all star" lineup.

Right on! Battle Lion is NOT an ALL-STAR A-list character (as promised we are supposed to be getting).....Battle Lion should of been released AFTER '14 and '15
 
The amount of whining that revolves around MOTUC is probably the worst of any toy line I've ever collected. So much emphasis on the negative and not the positive. Always having to be right and tote the superiority of ones personal faction and likes. I personally feel better when I focus on what I like about things than what I don't like, what fun is to always be upset and argumentative? Like OMG Hydron looks fat, Matty needs to be burned at the stake! Yeah.. no. He's still awesome and it's not a big deal. OMG Battle Lion in MY sub? OUR sub actually. Just sell yours, you'll lose what, $10 maybe? Let me know when you go bankrupt collecting a toy line that costs $500+ a year and you lose $10 here or there on it. Move on already, let's talk about something else, like how we've gotten so many figures despite all of the challenges this line has faced.

I'd say whining happens with just about every toy line made

Collector's just want their money's worth,it's understandable

Sooooo true! LOL. I stopped going in the Hot Toys threads. :monkey1

Yeah, we all want our monies worth, that's true. It's seems like every site where there is MOTUC presence (and some way more than others), it's almost all negativity. :(

I'm just happy to have more favorite figures crossed off my list, even if some weren't on my radar. I'm really excited about rounding out the Preternia display in the future, and I'm hopeful that Mattel is just trying to putt us off the trail for the second 2014 Beast slot. :)

I was one of the first to voice my displeasure at Battle Lion when it was revealed. Hope I didn't come across as against any particular faction, as I'm not so long as it is executed well. As soon as I saw Battle Lion I wondered how King Grayskull would sit on there, not that its a possibility for me as I already used him for a couple of custom figures.

I'm just planning on putting NA He-Man on top of Battle Lion as the futuristic armour fits the NA aesthetic quite well IMO. Now that I think of it as NA Battle Cat I'm much keener, dont know how I can explain away his missing stripes though....:dunno

I didn't know people were saying Hydron was fat, with the exception of Two-Bad and Modulok he's my favourite figure for 2014 so far.

#1 No other line make you deal with Digital River
#2 Matty plays a lot of games
#3 There are a lot of different factions of MOTU fans all forced to share the line and buy things they don't necessarily want.
