At the 4H panel it was brought up by a guy in the audience that Bandai's license of TC apparently expires next year. The 4H says they are DEFINITELY interested on making them, and that Mattel has pursued the license in the past, so maybe they will be able to get it next year and at a better rate now that the new show is over... we can only hope!!!

That's pretty cool news!

I agree with teemu actually. I think it's ridiculous how defensive customers get about massive companies like this (you see it with other things too like game companies). Mattel is the largest toy company in existence. They need a lot more critical customers than they need complimentary ones if we have any home of being treated reasonably as customers.

MOTUC Reveals from Power-Con
Posted by Admin on September 16th, 2013

April 2014 Club Eternia® Figure: Blade
Blade is the first character from the 1987 film to appear in the Classics line. The figure is inspired by the vintage line and sculpted in Classics style by the Four Horsemen, and will include two swords and a “laser” whip.

May 2014 Club Eternia® Figure: Scorpia™
One of the most demanded Filmation characters finally makes her debut! Scorpia™ is a POP bad girl who was one of Hordak’s main henchwomen in the classic TV series and appeared in almost every episode. She’ll feature pincers (like Buzz Off®), her deadly scorpion tail, and a Horde crossbow.

May 2014 Club Eternia® “Oversized” Figure: Battle Lion™
As Battle Cat® is to He-Man®, so Battle Lion™ is to King Grayskull™. Based on an appearance in Episode 35 of the 200X series, his armor is removable and will seat either release of King Grayskull® (figure not included).

Mystery MOTUC Accessory
A mysterious accessory for an upcoming figure was (unofficially) revealed. More details to come at NYCC.

Castle Grayskull® Update
We know we’ve posted lots of photos and videos as production has progressed, but honestly, they just can’t do justice to the real thing – it’s a BEAST! We’re super stoked to see how it’s coming along and can’t wait to ship it to you later this year. For now, have a look at the box art in full color and a closer-to-final castle. This latest model has an elevator with improved functionality, a new paint job, and the chains in the dungeon have been upgraded from plastic to real metal!

It's weird, a guy I've met before at the cons said that there were reports of Stridor already being sculpted.
And he told me about Battle Lion a day before the reveals. So his source was right on that regard, so it might be that the 4H tried to avoid spoiling it instead.
Besides, they only revealed Battle Lion and hinted at Extendar if you think about it... they might be saving some info for NYCC and Comikaze since they will be there this year. We shall see...

I heard Stridor too,but predicting the exact months is almost impossible

Maybe he is still planned....just not liking that POP Storm rumor at all

Stridor for this year and maybe Storm/night Stalker in '15?

childish or not...I find it applaudible that people spoke out whether you agree with it or not.(People have the right to be dissatisfied)

should people remain silent when they have there liberties trampled on by politicians too? (while a different comparison, but the principle is the same)..

I agree,It could of been addressed differently when it was Q/A time, but it's nice to see people speak out.(as PAYING customer's,they have every right too)

Which is pretty much the same as what I say on the podcast except I am not a tool about it.
By all means complain. Just don't be a tool about it. These guys were dicks.

I hope video turns up of it....it's all kinda entertaining anyway :lol

Good to hear... I wonder what the scale might be, how would they be presented, ETC?

I also thing a monthly model like Club eternia is the way to go with these. Mail order DTC all the way.,

Well, both could happen...

Exactly, the problem is not that they have issues with the line is HOW they did it, and potentially ruining it for everyone else... i wish somebody had called security to escort them out of the panel, now THAT would be hilarious! :lol

Oh Battle Lion looks sweet in those pics!!
Yes... yes he does!!!
My only gripe is that KG doesn't seem to sit all that well on it due to his loincloth... I think I might end up using a He-Man body instead.

I hope video turns up of it....it's all kinda entertaining anyway :lol

Yeah it should be good for a laugh. :)

I hope so too, but doubt we will be able to hear all the rambling... but believe me, I was 2 rows behind these clowns and it was cringeworthy...

I'm curious what exactly the Four Horsemen said about Stridor. We have heard many times that "nothing is planned right now" when fans ask about specific characters. Coming from Mattel it just means they don't want to give anything away just yet. I almost never expect a direct answer from them when these types of questions are asked.

As for the reveals, Scorpia looks amazing and Blade is just uber detailed (which I have no problem with). I am a big 200X fan and I really have mixed feelings on Battle Lion. I can understand if it was a tooling decision compared to the 100% new sculpt required by Stridor/Night Stalker, but I would rather have a single figure at $25 than this guy at $38. There are quite a few 200X characters I would like to have before Battle Lion and I will be disappointed if they are left out of the 2014/15 lineup because this guy got a spot. We'll see

Oh, and I can't wait to see the finished Extendar sculpt! I'm so excited he's coming in 2014 (ie- guaranteed to be made). He was one of my favorite vintage figures as a kid that had almost no background whatsoever. I was afraid he might not be coming until 2015. Unfortunately this probably means Rio Blast is 2015.

King Greyskull will likely fit just fine. Look at this top-down picture. they cut a hole into his saddle to accomidate the loincloth.

I don't know, it looks like he's floating above the saddle a bit:

IIRC I think Mattel pursued the classic Thundercats license before but WB wanted to bundle it with the new show and was asking for more money than Mattel was willing to pay. Since the line tanked so fast I hope WB is willing to take some money and let Mattel make the classic figures rather than waiting around for the next possible relaunch. It could be a while.

The saddles on Battle Cat and Panthor I thought were brilliantly designed to hold the figures with that slightly raised seat. Given that Battle Lion doesn't have that at all I don't see the figures sitting all too well on him no matter how soft the loincloth is.

Yeah, looks like his loin cloth is keeping him raised quite a bit above the saddle. Bummer.

It cost nearly $100 today for Batros and the Sky Sled. That's insane. I think another price hike will kill this line dead.

Is it just me or was shipping more than usual? I always remember it as being close to $10 but it was $9.90 and I don't recall it being that close.
