I don't think we will though. The movie license is not a highly desirable or marketable license. The movie was not a success. The cost of the license vrs the money to be made would not be a wise investment for anybody I would think.

If Goddard and crew think they are sitting on a gold mine, I think they be foolish. I don't think they do. I just think things went so bad with Mattel and Cannon back in the day that Goddard is just not interested and getting involved again.

"Never hard feelings! Sometimes you have to laugh it off. Here are my list of favorite fan conspiracies that never seem to die (despite being incorrect/explained):"

1) mattel used cheap clear plastic on the goddess figure causing Her to fall apart

2) mattel/I hate she-Ra/women and that is why her original classics fig had a hole in her forehead.

3) oo-larr is a misspelling of Mo-larr

4) dare's appearance in a mini comic means he will be the center of the brand going forward

5) blade's swords went unpainted so mattel could make more money with him in particular

6) names on package shipper backs are hints at future figures

7) there is a secret conspiracy to keep Illumina out of the line

8) Karg appearing in star comics means mattel can do him

9) the four horsemen intended he-ro's sword to be black and mattel changed it to blue against there wishes

10)the general misinterpretation of cost and time between how far along in production a sculpt and a tool are.

11) figures are painted by machine (every figure is hand painted with a brush (usually by Chinese women with small hands)

12) uocoming reveals are held back to torture fans

After he's been caught lying so many times, he still wonders why people don't buy his explanations?

Strangely, he has his group of people who do support, defend, and believe him to this day. Not sure why though when it's been proven time and time again that he's been extremely deceptive and dishonest with the fans. Alas, I suppose that's what happens in regard to such a polarizing individual. But yeah, very strange that he continues to maintain a defensive (or in this case offensive) posture with MOTU fans considering he's moved on from Mattel and MOTU. Personally, I think the main purpose of that list was to please his followers, and bait the detractors.

To be honest, I find the hardcore "fanboys" even more annoying than TG, you wouldn't believe the amount of childish attitudes and questionable behaviors from fans at events like ComicCon or PowerCon. Some people reached pathetic levels with their questions or arguments, actually I think TG most of the time kept his cool, with the amount of crap he had to put up with I'm surprised he didn't snap at fans! [emoji1][emoji1][emoji1]

But, he does have a weird way of wanting to be in the spotlight...

I agree that some of the fans are pretty damn ridiculous, but he made himself the face of mattycollector. He put himself out there for fans to interact with. He became that so-called celebrity. In that kind of position, one HAS to take the bad with the good. With that said, I can't give him any kind of benefit of the doubt. Especially when he's still popping up like a bad penny, essentially asking for more.

So what's the over/under on geting a MOTUC Disco Skeletor before the line ends? :D

Hard to say. Seeing as a figure like Spirit of Hordak, which required zero new tooling costs and had very little paint apps sold so well; I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Mattel thought a zero new tooling, repaint of Skeletor would appeal to the usual target market.

They would probably invent a name for him to justify his outlandish color scheme, and no doubt try and fit him into the sadly established, mishmash story that is the "Neitlich-Verse. The figure would more than likely be sold as a chase variant too. I personally have no interest in such a product, but I'm sure plenty of others do which would justify Mattel to produce it.

It's been awfully quiet around here lately...
I was reading the Art book last night, and it truly is amazing! Along with the P&H catalog and the Mattel SDCC art book, it feels great to see all those amazing concepts and creations behind one of my most beloved franchises!!
Who else is excited by the upcoming Mini-comic book?
I really am! I've been trying to complete a collection of the mini comics for years, but it's an almost impossible feat! Besides some are re-prints and not to mention expensive and hard to find!
Cannot wait!

I have no interest in the art book, but I might get the mini-comic collection book. I need to know for sure if it's strictly vintage minicomics though. If there is any NEW stuff in it from 200x forward, or if a few certain people's names are even mentioned in the book, then I will pass on it.

This weekend I found castle Grayskull on craigslist for under $200. I have been wanting it since it was announced but I collect other lines so I could never justify the original price (plus shipping). i feel so lucky to have found a deal. I was so excited to finally get the playset that it felt like Christmas in June. Anyway, that thing is more impressive than I thought it would be. I knew it would display well but it is also a lot of fun. My kid and I spent quite a bit of time playing with the features. It would have been so cool for this to have been mass produced. It is much more entertaining and better designed than the other modern playsets I have bought my kid. Anyway, I didn't feel like I had a complete collection without Grayskull so I definitely feel gratified.

The art book is a MUST for MOTU fans!!
Here's what's included:
"The toy juggernaut Masters of the Universe and its subsequent action figure lines featured memorable pack-in minicomics that aided in playtime for children across the world. Clocking in at 1,232 pages, this impressive oversized hardcover collection features sixty-eight US releases, including all minicomics from the ’80s Masters of the Universe line, the ’80s Princess of Power line, and the ’80s and ’90s He-Man line, plus an introduction to the minicomics in the current Masters of the Universe Classics toy line—all in production order. Relive the illustrated adventures that fueled your imagination!"

Passing on this amazing book because it includes new stuff or someone's name, sounds pretty crazy... Hahaha [emoji12]

Then color me crazy. I am no less of a fan because I choose not to buy a MOTU book, or anything and everything with a MOTU logo on it. ;)

I'm sure in time it will be, along with the rest of the classics form factor. I can't believe that Mattel wont try and find a way to reuse all that tooling.
