Nice pic Kuzeh and glad to hear he's not a glossy as we thought. I found out that the packaging is resealable too which makes me very happy indeed.

Finally opened my He-Man 2.0 and I'm happy with him. While the ankles aren't the best they don't look too bad from the front. Having the extra wrist articulation is nice. Looks better in person than the pics Matty was posting. I was kind of on the fence about subbing, but I'm glad I did. Really looking forward to Trap Jaw and Skeletor.

He looks great. :)

Does anyone know if the filmation He Man 2.0 is going to be available next month...or later this year? I couldn't buy it last Monday on the one day sale because it was sold out.

I had no idea they planned to release a 2.0 version of the latest Filmation styled He-Man, and so soon after the release of the first one? interesting.

I don't think it will be available as early as next month, but he will most probably be back in the next 12-18 months for day-of-sale. They may even offer it during a sale such as Black Friday.

I don't know any of this for certain, although it has been the Matty MO for some time now.

Got mine and it does look a ton better in person than those crappy Matty pics. The ankles really need a redesign but they are not as fugly as they appeared in the pics. I will only collect the main characters so I am probably gonna let Evil Seed go if anyone is interested.

I think he was asking if they would re-release the same figure again since he missed it. Not if they where making another versions

He's trying to be a smartass, just ignore him...

That was uncalled for. I know you have a free pass on here to publicly talk smack about members you don't like, but maybe you could try and restrain yourself from it in the interest of avoiding a conflict.

I for one am very disappointed with the Filmation He-Man. I like it enough but it just gets let down by other things that other reviewers I have seen have not really addressed.

1: Uneven skin tones across body.
2: Face is darker than body.
3: Face is far shinier than body.
4: Sword is not Filmation.
5: Sword should go far deeper into sheath as per cartoon and just doesn't look right so high in his back.

Not sure what's the thinking behind the left hand articulation and it being different. It would work if his hand was spread out as per the cartoon but as it is, it serves little pose value.

I expect more care on such a minimal figure that reuses so many parts and costs this much. When you compare the level of quality on the first figures from MOTU, these seem rather cheap. We got more weapons, more paint apps and extra heads.
This figure comes with one totally inaccurate and paintless weapon when it should come with inter changeable hands and or a shouting "I have the power head".

I Hopeful for the others but Trap Jaw is already off model but I hope it will be better made. Reviewers need to be more on top on this stuff, be more critical and not so easily won over.

I wanted a Filmation He-Man and I feel I got half of one.

Just look at how lovely the prototype was and you'll notice the painted sword too.

I don't think this was really possible. The sheath already looks bigger on the toy than in the cartoon and his sword seems about the right size. To completely fit the power sword the sheath would have been massive and not looked very good. I think this is just a case where animation doesn't always translate very well.

I agree with that, but there are other ways to create the same effect. Example, this Trunks figure comes with a sword and sheath

However, like the He Man figure, the full sword does not fit inside the sheath, so it comes with two swords, a fully complete sword for the figure to hold, and a shorter version which fits inside the sheath to create the illusion that a complete sword fits inside.

That option for the sword works but it's not something that was ever going to happen. This sub was always going to be as minimal as possible.

As for reviewers needing to do a better job...I don't think that's fair or required. They are stating how they feel. If you feel different then feel free to make your own. But no reviewer is obligated to point out anything. Not everyone will have the same issues.

I hadn't even realized that was the reason behind the sheath/handle design on Trunks. Still need to pick up the reissue of that one.

It would be a cool item to add to an accessory pack down the road. It would have been nice to get it with the figure but it's to be expected with the way Matty prices that you're not going to get every accessory you want (Mumm-Ra's extra cloak currently being a "maybe").

I see Eamon's point but I guess I'm just glad Filmation is getting done, even if it's not 100% accurate.

Aside from the obvious design choice fails, the lack of mold line trimming and shinny plastic is a sure sign of something going totally wrong with this line. When the classics line started, the figures had a quality matte finish with airbrushed accents. This new Filiation style line should at the very least have almost a flat finish to the paint and plastic. Mold line trimming issues just goes without saying, that seems to be pure factory laziness.

We know they would be minimal due to the nature of the design but minimal on paint apps like the sword is cutting a corner at the behest of those who buy it.

I did just make my own review right here and I think its' fair and required to expect reviewers to point out inaccuracies or things that fall short. That's kinda the point.
The sword is inaccurate and lacks the colors we were advertised and the scabbard is also inaccurate and is not like the cartoon which is the whole point of this line. I don't think I am asking too much for reviewers to be a little more observant.

Some reviewers, like the ones who get the product for free will never give a thorough review pointing out the obvious flaws in fear that their free toy train will lose steam.

It would seem that the Filmation styled sword that came with Flogg and now this new He-Man is really just a modified "classics" sword. If that's the case, that is some serious laziness, either on the 4H's part or Mattel's.
