that pansen headsculpt is so impressive. really captures conans look i think and even tho that look varies its pretty spot on.

I just love his flacid gun. I don't think you could get such a simple object as that arm to looks so bad. It really seems like that every way this arm could've warped, it did. From box to barrel to sites.

Standards should go up over time, no go down but it seems for the most part folks think this figure is great. Which is very odd considering the mountain of bitching on previous figures that were no where near as bad in terms of QC. I get confused with fandom sometimes.

Flaccid? You guys are smoking something. I didn't have any trouble with mine until I pulled on it too hard - you really need to buy more Hasbro figures, from SWB to ML's, where the plastic is actually soft.

Great review, Mike! I think the figure is great. The paint looks accurate, not too many issues with mine. The ankles are more aesthetically pleasing on him than they are on He-Man and he came out appropriately silly looking like the Filmation cartoon. I even think maybe, just maybe they intended the derpy eyes. :huh

I know and that's fair point if we didn't have better quality previously. I am comparing this to the previous version of Classics Trap Jaw which had far more details, paint apps, no warping at all and tighter. These Filmation based figures have far less deco, details yet the QC on them when compared to previous Classics is far lacking in my opinion. They are also all super shiny with no clean edges like their cartoon versions and thus to me seem to feel far cheaper.

If you really want a jarring comparison take one of the first year's figures and compare it to a more recent figure. Especially if it's more or less the same mold like He-Man or Skeletor. I swear the plastic is tougher and less gummy overall and there's far far more airbrushing, dry brushing, and paint detailing.

I understand why so many people are excited to get Filmation versions of these characters, but they're just not my cup of tea. As a kid I didn't want the toys to look more like the show; I wanted the show to look more like the toys. Anyway, glad to see they made these for the tons of fans that wanted them. I'm also happy to see MOTU toys still being made (even if it's not something I'm into). I can't believe this line has lasted this long. It must be some kind of record.

Yep,
Some people fail to realize that what MOTUC has accomplished as a collector line is rarely seen nowadays. Most vintage-inspired lines have either failed miserably like Bandai TCats or TMNT classics and even line like TFormers MP haven't lasted this long and with such a broad spectrum of characters and creatures, ships and even playsets.

When this line started I never imagined we'd get the amount of figures we got. To this day I am still a little in awe that I have a classics version of every vintage MOTU figure. And the line is still going (under a new name). Just amazing.

The MP line has been around longer(2004) and is still making new figures. They updated the scale and are still around today. Plus they have releases for TRU.

Yeah, for sure. I never thought I'd have an army of Evil Horde. I had hoped to just get Hordak, Grizzlor, and maybe Leech.

I know it's a long shot but does anyone have an extra MOTUC 2.0 He-Man for sale? I have an extra Trap-Jaw I can trade. P&TY! :wave
