If this is true about Disco Skeletor being the SDCC exclusive, then I wonder if it's true that the Snake Mountain prototype was destroyed while being moved, which prompted Mattel to cancel it.

Something to read "between the lines" there? Did you work on any related MOTU art for Mattel that you may not talk about lately?
Val really let me down. I always thought he was an awesome community leader until I saw another side. More than a few years ago on the org I kept trying to have people sign a petition to continue 200x animation or something along those lines. He actually informed me I couldn't do that and scrubbed all my posts! It turned out he was trying to get something of his own going with Mattel (a comic maybe) and I guess the tiny amount of support my ideas were getting seemed like competition in some bizarre way. I retaliated and fell out with him.

Oh no. Just wishful thinking on my part as unless they got a new artist or use Filmation stuff, the art I did for the She-Ra standee is the only official highly rendered POP art Mattel has and I am simply hoping they use it as the style fits with their other dolls like Wonder Woman.

I am curious to know weather Pop Culture Shock have been asked to attend. Pop Culture Shock are also in LA and given how much MOTU product they put out there, I would seem wrong for them not to be there.
They are certainly more relevant than many of the other guests in my opinion.

Dunno, haven't asked him. Didn't see them on the schedule but maybe they just didn't feel the need to be there this year.

The Con sounds like a real borefest to me. Mattel can't even get any reps to represent MOTU Classics anymore and then make the Four Horsemen do all their work for them.
Despite how it's ran and how things are handled I am sure it's a fun event and it is nice spending time with people whom all love MOTU.
Will Mattel not have any presence there this year then? Scott was always there.
Agreed. Disliking Val is one thing. Pretty sure though that most guys attending are great guys I wouldnt mind having a bear or two with. Have fun guys, no matter which con you are attending.

I've been to all previous ones and it's been a complete blast!! There's something special about small conventions that is lost in big ones like SDCC, there's a camaraderie and fellowship that makes it a lot of fun!!

Congratulations. This thread has been called out by Mattel as abusive and harassing. And they've complained to Sideshow about it. I've banned one member temporarily and will take other action as needed. But this thread is being closely monitored now.
