Because Mattel doesn't make enough and pretends to be "surprised" each and every month they quickly sell out.

Yeah, probably a good chance. I wouldn't risk it - order as soon as it comes online.

The Ghostbusters line looks great and is tempting... but I gotta draw the line somewhere. Sure are nice though.

Yeah, I've been waiting for Ghostbusters merchandise for quite some time. I remember about ten years ago (I think), someone made three custom Venkman, Stantz, and Spengler that were sold at auction. They looked pretty good for their time. Does anyone still have the pics?

Even though I'll be at SDCC I think I'll order He-Ro from the website since I don't want the SDCC logo on my figure. But that's just my choice; however, if someone else likes it then that's cool. I also hope I get the purple jewel.

lol if you would be willing to pick me up a SDCC He ro while there that would be great. But then your stuck in that long line to get them so I figure not. Logo isnt all that great, but then you have to worry about site crashing when he goes up for sale for the non logo one.

so if the He-Ro sold on the site isn't just gonna be Con leftovers, does that mean there will probably be the same edition size as the other figures or will he still be a smaller run.

Hard to say. I don't know if Mattel has stated anything official about it, but I would hazard a guess that it would be a smaller edition size, due to:

a) A certain number of collectors would have already purchased it at the con
b) More casual fans might not know/care about who He-Ro is, since he wasn't released back in the day.
c) As far as I can tell it's being marketed as an "exclusive" and not a regular release, which would indicate lower numbers.

But hey, what do I know. If Zodac sold out in a couple of days I'm sure Mattel realizes He-Ro would too, even if it took an extra day or so.
