I'm really surprised wave 5 is still available. I guess Mattel finally made enough to meet the demand. Now the real test will be to see if the QC has gone up and if Amazo's underwear is still a different color like the original.

Bmunch - what are you doing looking at color of Men's underwear? : Honestly, I am also surprised to see it still available. I guess Mattel's plans on offering defunct waves on their site won't become a reality. Ah well, I already have all the waves and figures so it won't affect me much but I wish they didn't stop the 2-packs of odd characters. I really like what they offered before.

Maybe Amazo stained his underwear when he found out that his wave is being re-released and he won't be top dog anymore.
Brainiac just needs to get a batch of Degree's women anti-perspirant and that problem will go away.

I feel what you guys mean by beginning to be choosy with the line. But what I find amazing about this line is that even at 15 waves with very little character repeats there is still sooo much more to do. Mad Hatter, Warlord, Bane, CMJ, Johnny Thunder, Ras Al Ghul, Poison Ivy, Stargirl, Dr. Light, Psycho Pirate, Atom Smasher, Mirror Master...so many to name, so much I want.
It's different with other people, I guess, some are just Batman crazy or JSA crazy. Me, I just want a toyline that will encompass as much of the DC Universe as it can...and I think this has a good chance of being the ultimate dc collection, in terms of characters.

I think the left overs show how inflated the prices actually were and that, for the most part, the people who REALLY wanted them, bought them already from reputable sources. Then there's the odd percentage of folks out there who arent buying anything online and will _____ just because it's not "in stores". I'll be surprised if they move forward and offer Wave 13, but I dont think we'll see Wave 15 on MC. The DCUC collectors are very fickle and dont seem to really have the feverish thirst for this stuff like the MOTU peeps. Maybe that's why Mattel treats us so bad....no wait, they treat them pretty bad too, but not AS bad

Nah, a lot of DCUC collectors are also MotUC collectors. The only difference is that MotUC is only available from ONE source in the entire world so it seems like it is this rabid, blood thirsty line, when in fact its not. Sure they aren't making enough product to meet demand, but I bet if this line hit retail, it would peg warm. Heck, the Luthor/Skeletor 2 packs are. Supes/He-man move though.

If Matty had any brains in that big plastic head, they would offer the waves on their site FIRST and then if they don't sell through they can just redistribute to retail (see waves 11 and 12). But Matty doesn't see anything as a success unless it sells out in ten seconds after their servers crash.

My understanding from a Q and A back when the set was announced, there wasnt enought time to re engineer the legs or something to that effect. It may have been a comment by the 4H on their forum site. Nonetheless, apparently it's the same as BC.

Fickle meaning there seems to be alot of folks who don't buy online or wait till whenever the stars align to pick up the 2paks (oh no they're gone for good!!). Basically just indecisive. If you KNOW they are going to be at an online retailer, then place an order. If you find them in the stores, pick em up. If it shows up on MC, place the order that day! We live in a world of choices, you can either buy em where you can, or choose to gamble. In my opinion, the DCU peeps do a lot of gambling. At least the folks that complain about not getting them.

Matty says that Wave 5 is almost gone. I don't know how to take that. If it's just some marketing bull or what. Never even saw Mattel post something like that in any of their lines.

Anybody has news on Walmart's GL 5 pack? I just want Guy Gardner in that pack and probably use the rest as stock.

No, they list that when something is low on stock. Both Venkman and Faker had it up later in the day before they sold out. So 5 is probably near finally selling out.

Man, I'm looking forward to seeing what they say about this line at comic con, I haven't had much interest in it for a few series now. I guess I am just a batman fan after all. I dont know if zatana is enough to spike my interest.

BTW, I'm looking to buy some DCUC things in the WTB section!
