The manhunters should have looked formidable but turned out to be barely noticeable. Very disappointing.
The batman news is interesting. I'll have to see the lineup to see if I will bite. With the prices rising, and the DCUC containing a wide variety of batman heroes and villains, I have to be a little selective.

I'm currently unpacking the Wave 16 and I just happened to look at the background artwork. It may be a clue to future figures. I saw Vixen, current wonder girl, red arrow and possibly batwoman.

I have to wait until Tuesday for mine, but I'm looking forward to 16! Bat characters FTW!

And here is the rumored line up:

Batman Legacy Action Figures Series 1

Golden Age Batman
・Sllver Age Batgirl
・Modern Age Catman

Series 2:

・Golden Age Joker
・Silver Age Mr.Freeze
・Modern Age Batman

Batman 2-Pack Figures Series 1

・Arkham City Batman & Arkham City Riddler
・Batman(Dark Knight) & The Joker(Police Honor Guard)

Series 2

・Arkham City Nightwing & Arkham City Joker
・Batman(Prototype Suit) & Lt.Jim Gordon

Series 3

・Arkham City Batman & Arkham City Catwoman
・Batman(Batman Begins) & Ra's Al Ghul(Ducard)

Yeah, the Manhunter really backfired. Was the height issue really that big of a deal? Usually packing the army builders 2 per case is a great idea (its working for Low/Maash at least). But I guess not this time around. Kyle should have been the other 2 per case I guess in this wave. Oh well, I ordered my set online ages ago. If I can help it, I avoid hunting for these at retail anymore. So I really hate the retail exclusives. TRU isn't bad, but I dread Walmart waves.

Agreed. My brother and I only hunt retail for these when there is an exclusive or we need to replace a bad one that can't be replaced by our online retailer...its just not worth it to hunt brick & mortars for these.

I honestly don't understand why folks still do it :huh

I think some people enjoy the hunt. Yeah, it can be fun at times, but I find it more frustrating that anything else. So cheaper prices and convience has definately made me go online except for retailer exclusives.

i think im going to sell like 90% of my collection to mke room for hot toys, im looking for BR joker, and DX joker, and scarecrow batdemon set...

if there is alot of dcuc you want (including giganta) and you have these HT to trade, PM me.

So am I correct in assuming that this will be a sub-line similar to GL Classics? has that been confirmed yet? As much as I love the batverse, I like my DCUC waves to encompass the entire DCU.

IF these are real, then yes, it is a subline. There still hasn't been confirmation that this is even real yet. But it will be like GLC if real.

It doens't look like that the CNC figure will be carried over in this line which is perfect since I'm only interested in a few of the characters.

I just hope if we don't get a C&C we get a lot of accessories to make up for it. Accessories have never been high on DCUC's list of achievements and if these are just a bunch of rehashes with new heads, I want accessories to make up for that.

In a perfect world maybe Munch, in a perfect world. In reality though, don't count on it. If anything, it seems we are getting less for the same 18$ price. And in no way do I mean that in a "the line will not survive a price increase! :panic::panic:" way, but rather in a "it's the sign of the times" way :lol

the line will not survive many more price increases, especially with the QC going downhill as well. im among at least 10 others i know who are no longer collecting them all. 160 a wave is ridiculous, id rather buy some really nice hot toys, something worth the money.

160$??? order from BBTS, most waves clock in at around 120$ shipped. Furthermore, whether these figures are "worth it" are completely subjective. To me, these are still worth the money. I could make an argument that HT figures aren't worth it either since they'll all rot in a year or two but again, that's just my personal opinion. I hope this doesn't come off like an attack on your opinions Bishart because it's not. I just feel that making generic generalizations like "the line will not survive!" is just plain ridiculous. Last time I checked MOTUC were coming in at 30$+ a pop and that line is doing just fine.

motuc is worth it, the quality is amazing, the fact that its a collectors online line is also helping hike up the price, dcuc with powergirls a plenty, clogging up pegs and causing retailers to not carry them anymore. dcuc has gone up from 12.00 to now 17.99 in stores in about 2 years. and mattel just announced its going up again. the quality is decreasingand the prices are going up, and with unpopular characters clogging the pegs the line wont last, its just the way it is, what do you think happened with the 200x motu line? 300 hema and skeletor variants. its too abd really. i love dcuc but its become ridiculous.

Picked up both classic Robin figs and the Azrael Batman figure today. Been waiting SO LONG for that armor to be given a great figure. Since the Legends of the Dark Knight line. First non-1/6 scale figures I've bought in a while.

yeah but Bishart, name me ONE line from any company that hasn't gone up price. I double dog dare ya! rising prices are a result of the cost of crude oil going up. Prices hikes are universal, from DCUC all the way up to a gallon of gasoline. These figures are mass produced so of course there will be hiccups from time to time. I've NEVER had a figure brake on me yet. Am I somehow immune to bad quality? no. so I know that not everyone is getting crappy quality. On the matter of distribution, I put that blame squarely on retailers. Mattel sells them product and it's then up to the retailer to distribute product regionally. Why people blame Mattel for that is beyond me :dunno

This is good and passionate conversation, and I love talking DC and DCUC in any capacity! :D
