I missed out on the first Clayface, I know it's old news but glad they made a 2 pack.

Hey everyone!

Long time! Much happening here. More on that later. First things first:

LET'S NOT START AN UNNECESSARY PANIC REGARDING CREDIT CARD ISSUES. Every order that has entered processing is being done so off paper copies that have been locked up in our office. There is no possible way that the Wave 8 orders that have entered processing have anything to do with the ONE coincidental report of fraudulent charges that appears upthread. If there were an actual problem, we'd already be bombed with reports of trouble. Let me lay this out so that everyone can get a picture of what we've done to our system:

EVEN IF A HACKER KNEW WHERE OUR ORDER SERVER WAS (WHICH IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY), ACCESS TO IT HAS BEEN LIMITED TO ONLY 5 COMPUTERS IN THE WORLD. THIS MEANS THAT EVEN IF YOU HAD THE ACTUAL IP ADDRESS OF THE ORDER SERVER, YOU COULD NOT EVEN GET TO THE LOGIN SCREEN IF YOU'RE NOT ON ONE OF OUR 5 DESIGNATED COMPUTERS. THE NETWORK WILL NOT ALLOW IT. AND EVEN IF SOME NASA-LEVEL HACKER TOOL FOUND A WAY TO GET TO THE LOGIN SCREEN (JUST PLAYING DEVIL'S ADVOCATE), THERE ARE TWO LEVELS OF ENCRYPTED PASSWORD PROTECTION (both levels rated STRONG by Visa/MC Services) TO GET PAST, AND THEN OUR WEB SECURITY SERVICES WOULD ALERT US IMMEDIATELY ABOUT UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS. ESSENTIALLY, SOMEONE WHO COULD MAGICALLY GET INTO OUR SYSTEM (AND IT WOULD TAKE MAGIC) SHOULD BE WORKING ON BREAKING BANKS & GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND NOT ON A LITTLE COMIC SHOP/TOY STORE LIKE CSC. WE HIRED TWO SEPARATE WEB SECURITY PROS TO HACK OUR SYSTEM AND NEITHER COULD GET ANYWHERE NEAR IT, MUCH LESS HACK IT. Period.

With that said, WAVE 8 orders have started processing. We are going to do this in waves to avoid charging people too far ahead of actual shipping. This will hopefully allow us to roll orders through on a better flow than with Wave 7. Keep in mind that if we haven't gotten an update on any bad cards, your order will likely get pushed to the next of charging/shipping. If you request a PayPal invoice, we'll send it out, but this will also push your shipping back to another shipping wave. It's all about keeping things rolling through smoothly so we can hopefully get this wave done in less than 3.5 weeks like the last wave.

Please feel free to forward any questions you may have. Hope this helps!
More later-
Thanks!
T-

IS HE SERIOUS!? If THEY F'd up your friggin card, and you decided not to update it with them but didnt cancel your order, they try to process it, you're going to the end of the line!? Are you kidding me?
Thomas, you gotta do better, my friend!

Wow...that is seriously in very bad taste:rolleyes:

He screws up HIS security and the customer has to suffer for it...talk about adding insult to injury. At least he could offer folks a discount to add new cards or some type of incentive other than just going to the back of the line.

I'm starting to think DCUC is cursed. First sloppy paint and broken joints. Then poor distribution and the Wal-mart wave. And then the credit card fiasco. I swear everything imaginable is trying to kill this line. But somehow it keeps on kicking.

duh...it's mattel. :lol

what do you want from them? Hot Toys quality?

No. It would just be nice if the thing you just bought wouldn't fall apart as you remove it from the packaging. Thats not too much to ask right?

But again, it is Mattel :lol

exactly. it's pretty much what i would expect to see from a company like mattel or even hasbro for the new marvel legends lines :sick

although, the mattel quality seems slightly better than hasbro imo

Fortunately, I haven't had these issues with my figures to this point. I do think Mattel has improved their quality over the last year or two though. I've even noticed Barbies are looking like they have better QC with paint apps, clothing and better base bodies.

You know, you are right! What gives here? We've waited for this line for friggin 20 odd years and when we get it, it's like getting the Brady Bunch Tiki idol!!! What else can go wrong here????

I read elsewhere that Joker, Power Girl, and the Question are slated to be Wal-Mart exclusives.

Could Mattel possibly suck any worse than they do when it comes to their sales strategies?

Question is NOT part of the Wal-mart wave. But it appears Joker and Power Girl are. Question is in wave 11, Walmart's wave is wave 10.
