Its up to Wal-mart to carry their own exclusive? Bull Crap! If they demand an exclusive, Mattel needs to FORCE them to make sure every wal-mart store gets it and enough of them. They need to set the terms for an exclusive, not the store. Mattel needs to grow some balls.

I sure wish that was the case! But if the rumored $15 bucks per fig is true, this may be a dying line anyway. I love it but no way is it worth $15 bucks per fig...not using a host of buck bodies anyway.

No kidding. Each figure in this line is no more than a glorified repaint. A new head or small accessory here and there and you have quite a few "new" figures made. Granted there is about one original sculpt per wave in addtion to the C&C, but this should still be a realatively cost effective line. $15 per figure will kill the line unless there is a huge, popular C&C and lot of new sculpts/bodies with perfect quality control.

I could not agree with you more!...although, i can't see anyone disagreeing with that all...

if this is how Mattel is going to handle this, then i have no interest in buying there products...i know right now my WM won't carry the exclusive wave...they were no where at all in michigan...

a compromise would be for WM to make them available online...but i know that wont happen either...thinking ebay might be getting my DCUC's listed soon.

I just don't see why Wal-mart won't do that. I know the excuse is foot traffic into their brick and mortar stores, but if that is the case, why bother with Wal-mart.com? This way they are at least guaranteed a sale. If I don't find what I'm looking for at wal-mart when I go, I don't bother getting anything else.

I suppose we'll find out more in a few weeks, but I put my money on the same monkey show as last year. Maybe with top listers like the Joker in the line, we can at least hope that Wally will carry a more significant amount of the series, but I personally think distribution will similar to what we saw last year, spotty and sporatic.

...and that wont happen.

And Kloket...they were in Michigan. Several in fact, but they were HEAVILY scalped.

what part?...i called the 1-800 WM line and the person i talked to said they didn't know what they were at first and then told me they were only shipped to the southern states...i knew they were lying but i always assumed they still never got stocked in MI.

I do the same thing, i feel like if they don't stock what i am after i don't need to give them any of my business...some may say that's stubborn but i don't care...it's not just toys they decide not to stock, it's many other items too.

Yeah, i can't see them changing how they do things and ultimately i still blame Mattel for giving them another exclusive wave when I know they know how the first exc. wave went down for collectors...it's just like a punch in the face.

A side note, i was in my local Target and they were clearancing DCUC out again!...they rarely stocked them, so i guess they assume they don't sell, but apparently, Infinite Heroes are the hot seller there since they had tons of those POS's at full price...they also had the JLU stuff clearanced out and that is an exclusive to Target.

I miss the good ol' days of collecting...i like this line but after seeing what my friend sold all is for on ebay, i think it makes more sense to sell than to keep...he had two auctions, wave 5 loose sold for over 200, and the rest of his lot of 72 hit almost 600...so that's almost 800 bucks to spend on awesome stuff like HT and Medi...I am pondering the heck out of it...what would you do? I mean i know i will stop buying these when they hit 14.99...so it's only a matter of time...

Call the stores direct...never bother with the 1-800-we r dics number...it sucks and they will just lie til the cows come home. They were at the Monroe Mi store and the Sterling Heights store. This year, call direct. Call now to find out if they stock them at all. If they do, they will most likely carry the exclusive.

I say if you plan on culling your collection, the time to do it is now!!!!! Cause they will only be as popular as the next new series. Once the new WM wave hits, the old one will lose a bit of its glamor. And the new waves will be the sought after figs to get. Right now there is a HUGE lull in distribution from all companies sans a movie tie in, so folks looking to spend some dough prior to SDCC are in a feeding frenzy.

Hope this helps

The 800 number lied to you. These were stocked in Iowa, so I'm sure they had no problem getting to MI.

He is available on at SDCC in a little white box that you get when you buy you WT set (if there are any Gleeks left....)

I'm sure there will be plenty of Gleeks...Mattel is USUALLY pretty good about that. They may sell out Thursday and Friday, but they will have more for the big day on Saturday and may even be giving them away by Sunday afternoon.

My Justice League is eagerly awaiting Martian Manhunter to round out the core members.

I can't wait until he comes out. I'm sure he will be in one of the upcoming Waves in the near future.

I would be surprised if we don't see him at SDCC next week. The only think that makes a Justice League display OK without him is that he is dead right now.
