Finally found most of Wave 8 at TRU during lunch today. Red Parademon, Mr Terrific, Vigilante (Awesome figure!!), modern Dr Fate and Commander Steel. Just need to find a Gentleman Ghost to complete Giganta and then a Hawkwoman, classic Dr Fate and a Green Parademon!

They also had a couple of the Supes/Braniac two packs but no Clayface/Batman.

Wow, what a pain this wave turned out to be. BUT, it is one of the best waves they've ever done. Mr.T is completely awesome and Vigilante is a runnaway success. Did anyone know how badass he'd be??? I dont think so. This line is the tits barring a few minor setbacks (watch for loose parademon and GG joints.)

Well. maybe to you! But who knew a suicidal, criminal beating sharp shooter would look this cool in plastic!?!?! Not me! But he turned out great!

On the WM issue, like Dee said, I don't believe what they are saying until I see it. But I don't think they would outright lie and say WM ordered more figs and they didn't...whether that order is so big that we will see a big increase at our individual WMs is yet to be seen. And wave 10, like 5, will be rolled out during the holiday planogram so nothing we see now can be used as an indicator of what's to come.

One thing for sure, if I can't find em within the first month that they hit, Ill be headed to ebay for sure.

And is your Modern Dr. Fate still yellow and gold or have the all gold ones started to ship yet?

I thought Mattel said they were going to stay as is...yellow cape and gloves with gold everything else?

He has the yellow gloves/cape. I am thinking about putting a drop of glue on the center of the neck collar and attach it to the chest as it tends to curl up a little.

Any reason why I shouldn't?

I am looking for the Clayface set to no avail as of yet.

I read that they were going to change it to all gold on one of the Fwoosh's Q/A's.

Of course they said the same thing about the modern Red Tornado...

I finally found the Superman/Brainiac set today. And two more Clayface sets. The Brainiac set is the much harder one to find in my area.

What's everyone's thoughts on Mattel screwing so many people over on Gleek at SDCC and yet giving Fwoosh A TON?...I personally am annoyed, that they didn't just make this available in the set to begin with instead of making the box light up and talk.

Matty posted on his facebook that there was an extra box of 100 gleeks they "found" on Sunday and decided to give them to the fwoosh.

People were freaking out on the comments section and the last post was left by Matty saying that next time they'll just keep extras and not go out of their way to help the fans.

I'm sure that was a wise thing for him to post. He probably just threw gasoline on the flames with that one.

yeah, i just read it...i was about to just post the exact thing...they must have complete idiots working for Mattel...

here is the actual post:

"I can already hear the urban myths and rumors starting.

To ensure we had product to sell each day of SDCC, we divided product up by day so that fresh cases would be brought in each day. We knew from day one that we would have more Wonder Twins than Gleeks at the show and would sell out of Gleeks before the Wonder Twins sold out. And we did advertise this multiple times online and on message boards.

What we didn't count on was one box of Gleeks getting buried in the stock room and not turning up until Sunday when we had sold out of both WT sets and Gleeks. Suddenly we were faced with a problem. We had a box of 100 Gleeks and no WT sets left. What to do?

In an effort to get these to fans, we arranged with a fan site (Fwoosh in this case) to distribute these Gleeks to fans after the show. We could have just kept this box and not told anyone and no fan would have known, but we had them and I wanted to get them out there. Fwoosh had a plan and it seemed like a good way to work with the fan community.

That's the whole story. There is no agenda, it is as simple as one box getting misplaced and turning up after Wonder Twin sets had sold out.

If that story is true (I'm not sure personally) then I think they made the right choice. The only other optiuon would have been to just send them out randomly with the matty orders.

This was my idea too...randomly send them out (better idea)...the fwoosh thing would have been fair if they didn't post this after the deadline...you had to be a member of fwoosh before the 27...i think something is fishy.
