I've done my best to quit collecting smaller toys the past year or so with a few exceptions. It was a rage in me that I HAD to supress. Either Hot Toys, SSC or nothing... but then, I walked into Target and saw the JLU "Ethnically Diverse" Superfriends three-pack, and absolutely had to have it. Who could imagine that one could waltz into a Target in 2009 and buy such a random toy set?
It was my first DCUC/JLU purchase in over a year. Collectors can have their overweight, middle-age black women, old white generals, and obscure, forth-tier comic book characters; Give me over the top, nostalgic campiness. Must have El Dorado, Wonder Twins 3-pack, next!
I would totally buy anything Superfriends/Tim Burton Batman/Richard Donner Superman related from Mattel. Now that they've done two out of three, make the Burton dream come true!!!

Man me too, I tried to stay away from non-1/6 figs but I just could not resist Robotman, Cliff is one of my favorite dc character since I read a 80's Doom Patrol secret origin issue...
WTF, that Robin looks like @#($ on a stick! I guess if this is where the Wally exclusives are going, I can certainly look forward to saving some cash.

Aside from Robin, I like that Batman as well as Aquaman and Purple? Manata. I don't think Bats will be hard to get parted out, so I'll just wait for a trade there, but I will get the Aquaman set!
Really? That PE buck is so bad especially the mid-thigh cut.
Not sure about the Purple Manta and AqM??? If that metallic is really cool, then it might be a buy.
I just can't believe that for the first time they are doing a 6" Batman & Robin set, they chose to do Robin so poorly. It's really sad and this in the year of the 75th Anniversary??? You gotta be kiddin me...

Lol. That superboy is horrendous. The designs were almost as laughable as the Liefeld fiascos. I do like the Negative Man variant but that will probably be the only one I'd be interested in. Still trying to track down the BAF Kilowog for less than buying the set itself.

It would be my hope for your sake Mike, that once this wave cools down 'Wog will start to go for about forty bucks, same as Grundy, Grodd, and a couple of these others I've seen complete on ebay.
I was tempted to buy the Animal Instincts two-pack off Matty today but might hold off until next week when I order wave 11. That's assuming bbts hasn't filled their pre-orders by then, which I'm not sanguine about at all.
EDIT: and as horrible as that Superboy costume is, it blows the modern 'black t-shirt and jeans' version away. Which isn't saying much.

I think both of those Superboy designs are lame. Superboy is a young Superman, so he's smaller. That's it. You can't call a wacky clone Superboy. Call him Supercloneboy or Bizarroboy if you must.

I would agree, the stupidity of the shirt and jeans still blows me away. Kon-El isn't that interesting of a character but my favorite costume was the one before the shirt/jeans combo:
At least he looked like a superhero, even an evolution of Superman that they'd never do to the original.

I think the new superboy figure is wonderful. Let me vouch and say the product is wonderful. I think the jacket is a nice touch for his look and the shades. It reminds me of a young john travolta.

Just a head's up for anyone who wanted the Gotham city 5-pack-- walmart.com has them for $30.00 now. $30+$1.88 tax for site to store shipping was too good to pass up even though I only want the villains and vanilla (no red eyes) Superman.

Just got the Disco Duo from Matty. Animal Man looks like he just stepped out of the pages of "52". Has a nice smirk and love the furrow detail on the forehead. Not really familiar with the B'wana Beast, only saw him on that episode of Justice League. His helmet doesn't allow for any up/down movement. Still a cool addition to the growing collection.

I got off this bus a whileback... for some odd reason, I Decided to get back on. Picked up Solar suit superman about an hour ago... Thankfully, I just cherry pick these... though I DO want some of the BAF. Need to get Kaliback, Only want Green Arrow from his wave.... Any advice on picking up the "back issues" on these?

Depends on what you are willing to pay. If you only want to do retail, then that's gonna be a tough one as these, as you probably know, have had terrible retail distribution.
If you are willing to pay a bit more, I'd check Amazon, BBTS, CSC and maybe even Entertainment Earth. They all sell singles of whatever they have in stock.
