takara batman. i figure im trying to pass on and now this. damn you maulfan, damn you!!! gotta be strong, gotta be strong....

Lol thats the same as me. I always say that I will pass on a figure and then I see one of MaulFans amazing pictures of the figure and I immediately place an order for it.... damn you MaulFan!!! :)

Your photos are amazing! Someone else posted that Darth Maul Medicom photo on another board and was absolutely stunned by it (in a good way). The Batman photo with the "rain" looks awesome. You sir are a master!

On a note to help my photo skills :monkey1...What camera do you use? What is your lighting set-up?

Sean , I'm holding a box now to one of the sideshow figures.
When comparing the box photo art work to yours there pathetic.
Why are you not working for them ???:confused:
Honestly I am seriosuly confused that they have not contacted you , this would probably be one of the places maybe some of the sideshow guys visit so this is beyond me. Anyway dude keep up the amazing work !!.
The begins shot in the rain is an amazing image as I'm sure you know , thats one to really be proud of.

Thanks for the support guys, I didn't realize you could see how many people voted to get the start rating. I was just a little surprised how it was so low considering all the kind words you guys always have to say.

Anyway, back to the images :)

I LOVE EM!!!!

Especially when you don't know where photoshop starts, and the screen-shot begins(or vice versa).

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. Some figures are just more inspiring than others. Batman is a particular favorite, I have a lot of fun with him and I just feel like I can get into his character more when choosing angles and such. Some figures also just lend very well to being photographed as they're works of art already and don't need the camera to shine.

Some new shots of the Sideshow ALIENS diorama.

AMAZING photos MF!!!! Your Maul photos are especially great!

Sideshow should really start using your photos. I have no doubt that they would boost figure sales.

Man those pictures are just plain awesome. I would swear those were real if I didn't know better. Damm keep it up!

hey maulfan awesome work as usual , I have a question for you as I can't see to find the answer anywhere on the internet. I'm probably typing in the wrong question for the right answer. I was going to pm you but this maybe of help to someone else also. I hope you can help me out. I was trying to make a wallpaper yesterday on photoshop and was wondering whats the most pixels you can use in photoshop. I usually just guess until it hits the edge of either side. I'm usually stuck with 920 pixels wide and 620 height . Is there a bigger possibility. It would be great if you could help me out pal.
If not no problem. Thanks mate and keep up the brilliant work. Keep rockin. :rock

I'm not sure I really understand the question. There is no pixel limit in photoshop, at least nowhere near as small as what you've listed, I've done 6 foot tall banners at 200 dpi resolution, which is a lot of pixels. If you're referring to the ammount of pixels you can see in the Photoshop program window at one time, that would depend on the resolution of your monitor.

Actually, there is a pixel limit in Photoshop. In CS3, you cannot create a file greater than 300,000 pixels wide or high:

Earlier versions had a 30,000-pixel limit:

In addition, not enough RAM and/or disk space may impact your ability to manipulate/save very large images.

Feels like forever since I've done anything, though it has been a few weeks. Been in a wicked creative funk lately, but to my joy, I've had some ideas come to mind and I'm hoping they'll be successful and I can build a momentum.

Here's the first completed concept, had an idea for a Batman poster graphic using the Takara figure.

Very cool shot Maul_Fan, an idea just jumped at me while I was looking at your picture. I know it's the wrong suit but the clouds (top center-right) in the background have an almost face shape to them. How about opening shaping the clouds in the form of the Joker's face? I don't know that idea just jumped into my head.:D

Interesting, I see what you mean, there's a cloud section almost looks just like a nose. Hrmmm, have to see if there's a shot of Ledger that'll match to the suggested angle. And technically, the suit is in TDK as well as the new one, so it works.
