I cannot remember in my life a VP pick getting savaged as Palin did right out of the gate. There's nothing wrong with the media scrutinizing a canidate for their record. But, this attack on her daughter is pretty low. If the media is not biased where's the stories about Biden's son and his hedgefund dealings. Maybe that's why Joe says kids are off limits.

Actually, there is plenty of evidence that suggests that people who become parents at that age are far more likely to fail at it (and by "fail", I mean raise children with significant emotional and psychological difficulties) than parents who start 5-10 years older. Neither is a guarantee, but the risk is there, and it is significant. Why take that risk with the future of you child?

I'm willing to bet that a significant portion of children raised in an adoptive household end up with issues too.I mean, it must be saddening to know that your own parents didn't want you...or that they thought you'd be a burden.

I think the love that only someone who biologically has an attachment to another human has can be a lot.

In the democrats plan of healthcare and welfare its actually beneficial for the mother of a child NOT to get married.

Damn, I am liking your post more and more as I read them. My mother was pregnant at 16 and married at 17 with my older brother. They have either hit their 50th or are getting ready to. I wouldn't be here if they wouldn't have gotten married (I know, some of you are saying damn them)

I want to thank the media for doing what I thought impossible. When Sarah Palin was announced as McCain's running mate, I was convinced that, at least for me, it was the final nail in his political coffin, and was determined not to vote at all. I was certain that nothing he could say would change my opinion. But the ruthless assault on Sarah Palin's character over the past week has gotten me so, well, pissed off, that I am now seriously thinking about voting for McCain, just to support Palin. And, don't even get me started on how upset my wife is about this. You definitely don't want to go there .

Well, it was a great tactic from a strategic stand point. Have the attack dogs (bloggers) savage her, the media spread it and Obama and Biden can claim the high moral ground. As Biden says 'don't go there'. Of course I'm sure Joe doesn't want to go there. Of course, this might back fire. The GOP seems galvanized and in a mood for a fight. Sadly, I think it's gonna get real ugly from here on out.
