A couple of America bashing racists

I look forward to reading these America-bashing racist Obama quotes I keep hearing about. I assume you have them on tap?

Saw this the other night had to find it again.
Gingrich pwns this msnbc reporter over Palin.

Newt Gingrich pwned by John Stewart over Palin:

Every Republican shill ever pwned over Palin:

barbelith!
Hey everyone it's barbelith...you slippery rascal.

See what you did again for the second time?
You answered my question with a question and tried to reframe the discussion!
Which of course is no answer at all.
So were all still waiting for that example.
Just one itsy bitsy teeny weeny example.
But if on the other hand you want to concede that you were in fact mistaken in your assessment of the Patriot Acts affect on your life, well thats perfectly acceptable as well.

Someone up above mentioned that Palin agreed with T. Boone Pickens. Boone is all about natural gas - which is the first alternative fuel that Obama mentioned in his speech. He didn't mention Pickens, but he did have a whole section about energy.

Pickens wants to remove American dependence on foreign oil. Pickens is for all for "drill, drill, drill" right now with a shift to renewable energy sources, such as natural gas and wind energy. We have the oil right now, and I think we should use it and go after it. This will buy us some time to explore the use of alternative energy sources. This is what I got from her speech; however, she also mentions the use of nuclear energy. I also agree with this. I personally don't think either candidate differs in the end result. They differ in how to get there. I think we should drill now and transition ourselves into these alternative energy sources as soon as possible.

The thing that gets me is how the RNC keeps making everything about personalities. It's like a reality TV show. It's not about issues or positions. And the corperate news eats this up as much as they did the whisper campaign against Obama. "McCain's a crusty POW -- think Rudy from Survivor. Palin is a hockey mom from Alaska who fights the good fight against the flawed media -- and people can project whatever flaws they want on the media. Obama is the upstart -- but is he patriotic or Christian or American enough?? And what is he going to do to your wallet? Never mind Phil 'Nations of whiners' Graham (who deregulated the energy industry to give us Enron and oil speculators) is McCain's go-to guy on the economy."

What I really wanted to hear from Palin was her stance on issues. She is Huckabee in a pants suit and I wanted her to proudly say so instead of using the same coded dog whistles that Bush has used. Which makes sense since she used the same speech writers. I wanted her to talk about how she believes that Bible stories should be taught in public school science classes. I'm not exagerating, she wants Creationism taught in schools. Let's talk about that. Is that okay, America? Let's talk about how she believes that global warming is not a product of man, yet she mocks Democrats who warn that drilling isn't going to solve the energy crisis. Let's talk about how she wants America to respect her daughter's choice in dealing with her pregnancy while she wants to legally deny other people's daughters from being free to make their own choices.

It's all obfuscation and personality and celebrity.

Why not use foreign oil while we transition and save our domestic reserves in case we really need them? Drilling locally isn't going to do anything to prices in the near term, and you can bet your bottom dollar the oil companies will be exporting that black gold just as soon as anyone else overseas offers a better price.

Actually Obama said "don't go there". It's been the media that has done that.

It's fascinating to see the differences between Obama's speech and Palin's. She has no grace or dignity. Obama spared McCain's character. Palin tried to assassinate Obama's. The GOP is grasping at straws, because they know they can't win on the issues this time around.

Surely this is a typo....

Isn't that what we have been doing? Why not drill and put limitations on where the oil can be used? Palin showed that the oil companies can be dealt with. Sure drilling won't have much of an impact on the short term but it will certainly help, at least until we can get these new energy sources up and running.

Right. But wouldn't you agree that the people who are going after Palin the most despicably are the same ones who had to continually wipe the drool from their microphones during and after Obama's speech?

And as I said before, he pretty much had to say what he did or else drop ten points in the polls. But those are just posturing words. I have no doubt that members of his campaign team are working with the media to covertly leak negative information about Palin. Sadly, that's part of their job.

Going after Palin is all the media. If it bleeds, it leads; if it's sex, it sells.

Seriously, with all of Obama's issues, from Health Care to leaving Iraq well within 100 years, polling better than the Republican's, why would he want to confuse things? He wouldn't. He doesn't. He wants to talk about how McCain voted with Bush 90% of the time; that McCain just doesn't get it; that voting for McCain/Palin is voting for Bush's 3rd term. That's what he wants to talk about and he wants to talk about it a lot. The media chasing Palin is talk-blocking him.

Wow - you don't think the loss of major portions of the Bill of Rights affects you personally? What other rights are you willing to give up, may I ask?

I'm not a terrorist, I don't own any form of false identification, and I don't hang out in mosques.

Looks like I won't be forfeiting any rights.
