Todd revolutionized the action figure industry. Movie Maniacs were some of the best looking pieces at that time.
I won't defend Todd now....but i'm not going to just ignore all the great **** that man achieved in the action figure area.
That being said, that statue is a waste of 300 dollars.

Agreed. I think 200 dollars would have been a lot more like it.
As for Todd, he was the reason I got into collecting in the first place.
Guys i had series 3 in my hands yesterday at the UK Toy Fair and they look much better than series 2.Here are some pics for you.
Awesome. I'd be surprised if the go back for re-do's but I sure wouldn't complain if they did. At least we can expect this type of quality going forward

Two swords? FAIL.
It should have been $30 and made of plastic. That's what I expected this line to be like based on McFarlane's old work. I mean, that's what they did - affordable, cheap plastic statues. Now they're doing what they should have been doing all along with this line, but making them large 'high end' pieces.
Hopefully series 3 of the TV show will be the new standard for the figures. Those look great actually. Series 1 is garbage. Series 2 was better, but series 3 finally looks good.

I don't mean to discredit what Todd has done in the past.... should have put it differently. It seems for a moment his company was going backwards as far as quality. Maybe they are finally waking up because I really hope he can deliver some quality WD merch. I personally love the statue, not the price. On the fence if I will pick this up, but most likely I will. Series 3 is looking much, much better.

Its a sign of approval. If the guy takes the time to sign 1,000+ of something, he clearly approves of it and likes it. I don't ever have a problem with the artist/creator/etc signing on item - especially in an area not effecting the piece like this. Its got a nice little plaque. And since the base rotates, you can have that in the back and out of sight if you don't like it.

with pictures surfacing of the TV show series 3 figures its getting me excited again oh and with just 3 days left for the new episode coming out I needed to purchase something of TWD.
