Well I was hoping to gift my collection to my fellow freaks who lived in the state or surrounding states around me but no such luck.

Looks like I will be distributing to coworkers or friends of my wife with children.

All those collectibles, steelbooks, and hardcover books…..going to folks who probably won’t really appreciate or understand.

Shame.

But I need to lighten my load…significantly.

You're still essentially gifting them and it would be the equivalent of spending gas money to drive a car, or taking a plane/train/slow boat from China/Amish Buggy, to where you live.
