Re: Medi + DX = Medix
Right. So you are both calling Trustmaster a liar.
No I did not take credit. And the pointers included more than a tripod. I will not have that conversation with you again. We could go back and forth forever saying 'you will never realize that you are the one with the problem'. Maybe we're both right.
I will fully admit that I was being condescending in the above post in this thread (obviously, and I'm not proud of it), but because I am defending Thrustmaster's honor I'm conceited.
And Rory basically saying 'I could never be wrong about this because I went to film school' isn't conceited.
If Thrustmaster had not expressly said that he did not photoshop those pics I would not have gone out on a limb with that last post. Yes I had said that I doubted the pics were Photoshopped from the start, but I would have left it at that if I hadn't gotten Thrusts word.
I am not an expert in photography. I constantly mention that I'm just a point-and-shoot guy. I have no illusions of my personal ability when it comes to photography. If Thrust comes forward and says, "you know, I did enhance the brightness around the Joker's face", or anything like that, I wouldn't even hesitate to admit that I was wrong and just made an ass out of myself.
I. Wouldn't. Hesitate.
I admit that all the time. I don't see you (NAM) acknowledging all those times when I am sincerely self deprecating. You just love to interpret every other post as conceited. You will no doubt consider this post to be conceited.
Bottom line here is that I would rather live in a world where I trust people's word more than my own perceived expertise. And if it could be proven that Thrust was lying, I still choose to live in that world.

@ Rorywan: I honestly have no other beef with you. But for some reason this one thing bugs me. It's not the first time you have come into a discussion about a picture with 'I'm an expert in photography and I can guarantee that that's photoshopped.' Maybe it's just how sure of yourself you seem to be that makes me come back with a 'sure of myself' post. True, you always say something like 'not that it matters, it looks great either way.' But if someone has specifically said it's not manipulated, that's just a sly way of calling people a liar.
Anyway, like I said, I will not bring this up again if it comes up again about another picture.
Geez, give it a break will you.
Maybe you need to talk to someone about this?
I could answer all of your ranting above in individual paragraphs, and use EXTRA BLACK text and "spoiler" pop ups to to reinforce my opinions, but thats all this is, your opinion. And frankly I couldn't be bothered. you can make a fool of yourself on your own. Thanks for pointing out the Joker's face is white and Batman's is black, I missed that myself. Who would have figured? You need to do a lot more reading about camera exposure and light refraction if you think its that simple. To get a burnt out exposure that bright, with white levels exceeding every other pixel in frame, without a hard edge on the burnt out areas, photo manipulation is required. Did you go to film school? No? I did.
Have a look again at that first picture. The overhead light is sharper than The Joker head yet it is behind him, perhaps you can show me the camera lens which allows a foreground and a background focal point whilst losing depth of field in between. God, why am i even answering you?
Thrustmasters pics are fantastic, as most of his pics are. People on here know that he shops and touches up almost everything, like Neo does, but largely denies doing it. Thats his call, thats what he is into, whats your problem?
Go pick a fight somewhere else Maglor, I have no idea where this vitriol is coming from but it's misdirected. And I have no beef with you so back off please and let it go. Everyone is entitled to their opinions on here without getting jumped on by someone who obviously has no confidence in their own.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who deals with this. Though I'm betting his over-inflated ID won't allow him to see that he's the one with the problem.
Right. So you are both calling Trustmaster a liar.
Give as good as you get. Expose the conceit, condescension and self pedestaling. I went through this last week with him when he basically took credit for Skiman's exemplary photography skills after suggesting Ski buy a tripod.
