Isnt he a bit too big for Luke?

Maybe for you, but works for me.

Medi Yoda looks the best to me. I passed on the Sideshow version because I have the Medi and it's a much better representation of Yoda.

Those pics are awesome OSCORP.

Great work there Rory. When you add the hair, it'll be off the chain!

I just picked up a medicom yoda yesterday on ebay. awesome what green color did you use on his skin I might have to try it out

It was a mixture of tones I'm afraid. I didn't use one specific color. Just layers of slightly different tones? What I noticed about the Yoda puppet is that it's almost the reverse of traditional dry brushing. Lighter in the grooves and wrinkles, darker on the raised parts.
Hope this helps a little bit.

Rory is exactly right. This tripped me up at first too. so on my second attempt I actually did not alter the medicom paint I used it as a base and painted dark recesses in the eyes and wrinkles, nose, mouth on the face, but on the recesses on the top of the head i left the base color for from medicom's paint, it;s subtle but medicom actually got it right. and I altered the hues with brushing cooler tones with pastel over the whole sculpt to get a little deeper cyan into the stock green. I of course completely repainted the eyes. I always work with acrylic washes, straight acrylic, drybrushing and pastel drybrushing.

Great observation on the skin tone, guys. It's as if the raised areas are almost dirty, so you have to go from light to dark.

Can I ask how you guys plan to go about applying the hair? I was thinking of using pillow filling instead of a q-tip, but not sure what to use to stick it ont here. A matt clear coat acrylic?

That's exactly my plan.
