MEDICOM 12" VADER EP IV EXTENDER MOD

Okay, now that some members have posted how extenders can be used to adjust height on these figures, I just had to pick one up... the outfit, removeable mask detail, sculpt and superior poseability to me means this will be very tough to beat, no matter who tries...

So, can someone please post a quick tutorial on how to use leg extenders specifically for this figure? Thanks, much appreciated.

I wish Medicom would make an EPIV (ANH) version of Vader. I'd get that one as well.

Thanks kg, but I need to see how this is done specifically for an EP 6 Vader as he has a lot of intricate costuming detail, etc.

Is it the same for him as the trooper, using the ankles?

It works exactly the same on Vader, or any Medicom RAH301 body.

Yeah, Pjam... it'll work the same. The only difference is getting the Vader boots off and back on (which should not be TOO bad).

If I can get this guy like 12.5 inches, he'll kill... now SSC Jedi Luke has a Daddy! Did you see the sculpt and paint apps detail, scars, etc, on this guy? Truly a work of art. And a SSC Emperor will complete the final battle scene, boy I wish SSC does an environment for this... too cool!

I sure hope his shoulder joints can hold the Emperor over his head!!!

I'm with you. I have both this and the Medicom ROTS Vader as well. They're both excellent. Thanks to Scarlet here I am going to do this mod to both of my Medicom Vaders and will probably even pick up a Stormie (even though the helmet on that one still bugs me) and a Boba Fett as well.

Now, if only Medicom would make some colored & weathered Clones.

P.S. Am I the only one who would like SSC to make their "Star Wars" figure display stands available separately? I don't care if they have to charge an extra $1 or $2 for use of the SW logo (licensing)... I'd like to have some extra stands for the Medicom and custom figures as well.

I'm with you there. The lack of colouring and weathering was the only thing that stopped ms from buying a ROTS clone. Please Medicom, give us a 501st, shocktrooper and Utapau clone.

You mean EPVI (ROTJ). They havent made a true ANH (EPIV) version yet.

Anyway, get the EPVI one. It's the nicer and more classic looking of the two Vaders. The ROTS one is great too, don't get me wrong... but the EPVI one is unmistakably Vader from ESB/ROTJ. And it's got a great Sebastian Shaw sculpt underneath.

If you could only get one, that's the one to get imho.

I admit I'm an OT Snob and Sebastian Shaw was always my Anakin, plus with Jedi Luke and the Emperor on the way it was a no brainer.
