Good grief! Have Medicom had an epiphany on the road to Domestos? Medi figures that are, wait...taller than HT's?

This is a tough one to call. There are things that I like and dislike about both M and HT versions of this one.

Now officially confused!

many of their recent figures are as tall as HT figures. Vader 2.0 is taller than DX02 Bats. Snape and the Cowboys and Aliens figures are about the same size as current 12"/1:6 scale HT/SS figures

The Medi head looks great, & I dislike the degree of yellow used on the HT eyes.

As it should be. Vader is supposed to be around 6'7" while Bats is about 6'2". I guess we all just got used to approximating that a 1/6 scale figure is 12 inches tall

I know how tall Vader should be (about 13"-13.5" in 1/6 scale), I was just using it as an example to show that Medi figures aren't as short as they used to be. The EP3 and ROTJ V1 Medi Vaders were about 11.5" if I remember correctly. There are some figures that are still underscaled from medi like the droids, so it's fair I guess for ppl to still assume that all their figures are still short but it's not a fact like it used to be

Part of the reason I purchased this was because of the 'in hand' pics posted, & now it seems like it might be modded. He/she just used a shorter ankle peg on the medi body (they are changeable) and cut away the excess costume. He/she was not clear on where the coloring was done.

Original HT Spidey is one of my fav figures. Not the most flattering pic of it there. Medi's Spidey doesn't look out of it's league at all in that pic. I agree about the body proportions on the Medi. I also think it's better.

this is slightly improved, by medi. the eyes not orange now, gold reflective covered with what looks like clear lacquer, shoes coloured silver bits, but strangely sole of the heel sticks out lol the body has really good movement, i think the body proportions good too, every joint nice n stiff no floppy arms or legs think you,ll like the figure Lawrence inhand looks really good. the more i look at it ,think this looks better than HT,s Toby spidy

I'm not feeling too impressed about that. That's pretty horrible actually. Other than that, the figure looks pretty good. The colour, sculpt, body proportions, all look cool. Even the suit fit looks nice in your pics.

my thoughts too,am sure thats not movie accurate heels but certain pose can hide it , with feet angled downward. still its looks good over all. am please with the fig . the shop displayed it in a really nice pose, pity no camera allowed for taking display pics hope your order does arrive this week

See, things like this P-me off! This set of boots is clearly not correct. I did not see them looking anything like this in the film at any time. Even their own proto did not have this.

But it's being changed to this, and for what? So people buy the improved version 2? I prefer HT's lesser list of mistakes now, for sure. I was in two minds but not now.

I'm glad people will get and enjoy this, but I cannot get both versions (even though I would love to, I am life long Spidey fan) and this blatant ****-up is ludicrous and has made my choice clear.

Before I saw Desisandy's pics, I purchased a second Medi Spidey earlier in the week. But I did not realise the boots were like that. It wasn't really something that stood out in the pics posted earlier. I guess I'll report back what I think about the figure when I get it
