Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

Man thats a nice repaint lforigno.
I want to repaint mine also, but just been a bit lazy, but from a distance, the Medicom Stock paint isnt to bad. Maybe because its just a chin, I can accept it. And the eyes are little you have to be right up in the peices face to even notice the eye color. But anyway, If I ever get inspired, I will try to repaint mines one day.

thanks minivader for your tip. handled it to 75$ and couldn't resist anymore. damn it, and I thought I would pass on it, but ... I couldn't. :(

I hope I won't regret it...

With the eyes finished and glossed up. Also toned down the white a bit as most know eyes aren't really pure manga white.

Sitting it in front of the computer display to pick up the glare on the eyes.

It feels like a Hot Toys figure now... once I get a proper stand built for it. I think it'll complete the Hot Toy look give it that premium status. That clear tacky stand does my eyes in.

Currently finishing up the detailed parts on the hands. Glove gloss trim/knuckles/finger tips.

Which is nearly finished. As you can see the carbon kevlar isn't a piercing silver. There's a slight shine to it but only when bright light bounces off it from the window on the edges. Under normal lighting conditions it appears quite neutral matte like.

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

Well i got my Medicom Dark Knight Figure today. I wasnt really wowed like I was hoping I would be but im not dissapointed.

Pros:
-Suit is really great. I like the coloring and materials they used
-Headsculpt is not bad (could be improved but still pretty good)
-I actually really like the belt.

Cons:
-The cape sucks. At first I thought it was a great Idea to have it wired and stuff but its not long enough at all.
-The Hands dont go all the way in. Doesnt bother me TOO much but I wish they could go in all the way
-The boots seem too small.
-You cant move the legs very well at all.

I really like the figure. Its an awesome centerpiece to my collection and its growing on me but something about it is just off

BTW does anyone know how to take the cape off? It looks like it doesnt come off without cutting it but I absolutley hate it

the material on the cape and suit is actually very accurate. The HT Rubber didn't really do a good enough job (still cool though) and the cape was just wrong (again still cool though)

I said the suit was great. I love the suit. I dont really know where you got the idea that I didnt like the suit. I dont like the cape because its pretty short and it doesnt really flow like I would like it to. It dont think it is very accurate at all
