Look,Im just more of a SW fan then a LOTR fan and real big Maulfan for that matter.Hobbits just dont do it for me(no offense)

None taken, but the point was fair. It's a comparison of figures made by compaines, not of the characters themselves.

Also, I still have yet to see someone explain rationally why the Medicom Maul figure is worth $90 more than Sideshow's. $90... that's 150% more!!!

And if your answer is "Well, it's 150% better" you don't have a quanitifiable argument.

Better Face sculpt, better body, more posebale, better quality clothing, oh and import fees. Mostly my opinion but there you go.

I agree with that. I don't think it is.

I also don't think SSC will always be 300% better than Hasbro all the time. A lot of the time yes, but it would have to be some Count Dooku to be 300% better than Hasbro's.

I don't feel SSC's Qui-Gon is 3x better than Hasbro's either.

Item ordered....:maul
We'll see if it's cancelled later. (especially if I can find it at my usual Canadian on-line friendly store)

Each Darth Maul figure includes interchangeable hands and a display base, a removable hooded cloak, and comes packaged in a beautiful window display box.

Not even a pair of binnocs or a droid bracelet.

LAME-O!!!! :lol

Im comparing both.It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Medicom's' figure's are a far superior product when next to SS figure's and more people like SW (especially Maul) then they like LOTR (Hobbits) which is the reason why medicom's probably not making LOTR figures.I mean you put this Medicom Maul next to some SS hobbits and you'll see there's no comparison,(put any medicom fig next SS fig's for that matter.)

It's worth it considering it for what it is,a highly articulted high end 12" figure.I think it's worth half the PF because not only does it compare to the PF Maul in quality but you can also pose it and change his robe out,and that's enough for me to pay $150,besides Reg PF Maul only goes for $200 on ebay 12" Maul would probably goe for $120'ish to $150 when it first comes out.

Josh already ordered his at SDCC, but I'll see ya at 10:00am PST!!!

Yup, ordered long ago. Just waiting and waiting and waiting. :lol

Please don't forget that a majority of us are elitists too. Thanks!

Having a job and making decent money doesn't mean you're willing to spend your money on an overpriced item.

It may not be overpriced to you and that's fine, but it is to other people and that's fine too. IMO $150 for a 1/6 "doll" ( no offense intended by that remark ) is starting to get close to PF territory and a PF is worth the higher price ( again, my opinion ).

kit's banner is as big as maul's hands! :google

"Damn" some of you guys act like you dont have jobs or something.Im sure half you guys have decent jobs and can afford $150 for a figure that Im sure your going to enjoy. If your thinking you can get this figure later on down the road for $30 less then I can understand, but if your truly a 12" fan or a Darth maul fan for that matter your gonna want to pick this up as soon as it comes out, beside's it looks awesome so far compared to most of sideshows 12" ers Ilume padme,(just looks ridiculous),Bespin Luke(pockets and collar) just to name a few. They can't even get the prototype figure right until after people complain about it,and even then there's still problems with it.I just dont think sideshow is taking their 12" line as seriously as medicom is taking theirs.I mean you get what you pay for,and maybe some of you are right about the price being $40 $50 too much for these Medicom fig's,but hey I don't think your gonna see a better looking 12" darth maul for a long while.

just because I can afford to buy a 1980 Chevette and pay 2 times more for it that it's worth doesn't mean I would be smart to do it.

But to each their own.
