Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

new photos look good. he almost has a year one kind of feel about him with the slim waist and legs. headsculpt is pure hush though, they really nailed it.
thanks for posting, I'll be borrowing one of those poses for my batman shelf.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

I'll take this figure over the one Sideshow revealed at SDCC.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

I personally love the figure Sideshow revealed at SDCC. I think Batman, Superman, Joker and Catwoman all looked great.

I am very curious to see the reworked Batman head though!

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

Medicom loves doing anime style figures, I don't think it was a good choice with this figure which other than the legs looks like a pretty good Batman. Because of the tight fit of the costume, the legs don't look like they can be modded in any way. The legs look even worse with the huge bulky shoulders, which is how he was drawn in the comic so I can't fault Medicom there. Jim Lee also had the cape squared around the shoulders in a lot of panels which would've been cool. This cape looks pretty straight.

Almost 50 images of the figure HERE.

A few of my favorite shots which make the figure look pretty darn great include...

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

Seems most of the 3/4 views of this one look great...the straight on shot makes his anatomy look weird...I have to say I don't hate this figure, but it hasn't pulled me in either... very on the fence here.. maybe the Joker will change my mind, and I'll go for the set.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

I'll admit that I called this "Craptastic" from the earlier photos, but after seeing these awesome pictures, I broke down and ordered one. I was wrong, and can't wait for the figure to land on my doorstep next week.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

The rib cage still looks awful despite all of the so called "improved" shots shown on this page (no offense to those who likes it). Batman looks severely malnourished.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

You do realize that's Jim Lee's stylized art style though, right?

Considering it's based on Lee's artwork, it's not so much Medicom's fault it looks that way.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

That's a good point crowinghorse. I think it is much easier to get away with that on a comic book page though, as appose to it in a 1/6 figure.
I think the sculpt for this guy is quite awesome though. :lecture

i have to agree i think the head sculpt is perfect. very batman, very intimidating.

still haven't opened mine. hope to make some time this coming week.

Best of luck man, hope you enjoy.
Will you have the Joker accompanying him? :wink1:

I've been following Jim Lee's artwork for years. The only thing about the Medicom figure that even resembles his art are the costume and cowl. The body is just totally wrong.

Here's the Kotobukiya statue for comparison (which looks much more accurate to Lee's work, compared to the Medicom figure):

Yeah, the head-sculpt looks perfect, along with the costume.

A question for those of you who have this: is the costume made out of a stretchable fabric? I'm thinking of picking this up, but I want to know if it's possible to switch out the body for a more muscular one.

This is very true, the above statue would be a great starting point(Sideshow are you looking?)the medicom is ok with much room for improvement. Would love to see a great version of Jim Lee in 1/6 size!

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

It looks like Medicom's Spawn figure all over again. Malnourished body, crappy cape, vinyl suit & pin-sized head. If it was DCD type prices it wouldn't be too bad. In this price range it's an easy pass.
