Ditto! this will be the first VCD that I buy. For the $70 is a steal at how detailed this thing is!
Looking for some info on the RAH figure I found a site taking preorders. I'm not sure how reliable their info is, but they have the release date as October. And the price is around $150.

can somebody here explain to me the appeal of the Super Deformed/Kubrick/VCD figures?Cute VCD, but with more REAL Aliens coming, gotta pass. Cool though.

what's the rationality behind someone buying thisinstead of this?
is accurate sculpting not cool in certain markets?
i just can't wrap my head around that.Firstly, I don't think anyone's ever bought a VCD instead of a regular figure, and secondly, people just have interest in eccentric pieces, myself included.
Do we know if this is going to be taller than 12" yet??? That is THE deciding factor for me. I'm not keen to spend $150+ on it if it's not going to display well with my other 1/6 ALIENS.
So, 300 cm = 18"? Sounds out of scale for 1/6.
Should be 15" Tall. Nice piece though.

I got excited for a minute when I saw the words "Medicom Alien" in the newsletter.
It's cool, but not $70 cool. At least they got his fingers together.
