I wish I had ordered anywhere else, yesasia was the most expensive of the lot... but I panicked when it took so long for the Medi-alien to show up anywhere else when it was already selling out on all the japanese vendors.
Oh well.
At least I'll get it relatively fast.

The anticipation is killing me.......again...:lol:monkey5

There are some new pics of the fig boxed from an Ebay seller in Asia.

That medicom is certainly better than Anything Neca has put out.

Seeing how slim and long the legs & arms are,I believe it is the RAH Spider body which they use for anime characters like Code Geass Zero.

The body is really tall & if Im not wrong a little over 12 inch.
I have the Kakihara figure from Ichi the Killer which is on a spider body. I compared it to the Medicom Boba Fett, and, IF there's a difference in size, it's only 1 or 2 millimeters.

It's good to see the Medicom Alien in all those dynamic poses. I really hope it doesn't turn out like the Raiden figure Medicom have released a few months ago. I got Raiden, and I guarantee you: forget the fancy poses for that one!! Neither the elbows, nor the knees keep their position after bending them. The rubber suit pushes them back into the straight position right away. Some people have solved that problem by cutting up the suit by the seams, so the joints get less resistance from the suit. The really brave ones even tightened the screws on the joints. But I don't feel like cutting up a $179 figure...
Judging from the pictures of the Alien, the suits seems to be much thinner than the Raiden suit, so it looks as if the Alien will be quite posable. And it better be too! :D

Thank you for the intel Alice Adrenochrome. I do keep my small collection of SSC 12" figs in the box. But I have to display the Medi Alien when it arrives. But I will becareful w/the poses. :D

Atleast NECA got the mouth right. Which MEDI has failed to do.
neca got pretty much everything right. the medi one isn't perfect, but it's better than what ht will make.
i expect the ht version to look like their aliens warrior with a dome.

NECA got one of the biggest things wrong, the dome. Which, unless I get one for X-mas, I have no intrest in picking up.

I don't know... I suppose the open jaws make more sense, since that looks more intimidating, but everybody has always done the open inner mandibles/tongue, so it's nice to see one with them closed.

That packaging is just terrific. :rock

The figure looks VERY tiny, though... which I kind of expected.

Probably a no-brainer for ALIEN fans/completists... but I'll wait for Hot Toys to add a 1:6 Alien 1 to my overall collection.

Yep. Its an easy pass. :D

No more wondering about the size or the quality of the paint apps:

Yup, it's as tiny as we all knew it would be.
I love the side by side shot with the 90's Medicom alien, really puts into perspective how much this hobby has evolved.

And I'm wondering what type of paint will be best for repainting this one.

Wow....I really dont like this figure at all.

The last pic, the one next to the medi...what is it? Its face is better looking.

That's a statue, I don't remember the company, japanese though. It is very nice and I've often been tempted to get one. It was pretty cheap, too. There's also a metal version that goes for 300 bucks or something.
