Got my shipping notice! Should be here by next Friday :)
Can't wait to get it in hand, or at least see some photos. Common internet!

Hmmm... He's wearing a snuggie or a towel. I don't know why they changed the material...

Ohh need more pics! Not sure how I feel about the felt look... Seems cheaper looking somehow. Hope it looks good in person!

Oh, not so sure about this figure after seeing that pic. It really is quite off putting. Colour wise, it's very different from the earthy green we saw in the earlier photos of this figure. :(

The only possible consolation might be that it'll look better with a little futzing, and that the pic was taken under really bright lighting.

Hopefully we'll see some more pics soon.

wow I was getting ready to order this today but that cheap looking shirt just completely changed my mind. Oh well, $200 saved...

To be honest, I'm not too disappointed by it, as I was planning on customizing the hell out of this thing. I was probably going to cast up my Master Replicas weapon set to get a more traditional Master Sword in Link's hand. And was heavily considering making straps and a scabbard out of real leather, as I figured this version would likely be molded plastic. Then I thought about using Kaustic's chain mail, whenever that gets released.

As long as the head has a good sculpt and the body is a good scale and isn't loose, those were probably the only parts I was going to keep stock.

guh why would medicom do this? was there something wrong with the prototype material? this reminds me of that solid part on madoka's skirt which was really weird material choice.
good news is at least the tunic is easy enough to make. everything else looks good, but we shouldn't even have to make another tunic with the price we're paying.

Doesn't seem like a huge change to me. Everything else on the figure seems kind of cheap and primitive. Even the tunic did beforehand, now it's just a different kind of cheap. Can't expect too too much with Medicom. They aren't trying to achieve "high end" quality to rival Hot Toys or anything.

ouch. it wouldn't call it cheap and primitive since the source material is simplistic and they are going with that style. and if the prototype tunic looks cheap, well the version we have now is even cheaper..i at least expect something better with the price i pay, and i know medicom could have done better than this.
